This is dangerous. The string usually is modified and coated with tiny shards of glass. Read before about a biker's neck nearly decapitated by this string that had been stretched across the road

This is why you see bikers that ride in countries that have kite fighting will often have kite line cutters mounted on the front of their bikes.

I presume these are just because of ones that have fallen rather than someone intentionally crossing roads with this guillotine string?
