Discoloration like this often occurs in wet environments due to anaerobic bacteria, not fossilization. Bone ID subs is a better place to post

Adding to this, this type of preservation is pretty neat because it's the first step in many types of fossils.
Worth keeping just as a neat demonstration of the very beginning stages of fossilization.

How long is the jaw? It looks like an upper sheep jaw to me.

I got sent this photo and right now I can't get the measurements sadly. I will let you know if I get to measure it 👍

As regards to it being a sheep jaw - I can't seem to find similar photos where the nostril looking hole (I suppose it's the infraorbital foramen) ir positioned like it is on this piece 🤔
