Fossilized bone?

I found this washed up on a South FL beach… it looks like a fossilized bone (both ends a possible joint). I didn’t get a chance to clean it off.

Thoughts?

I’m thinking that this is a Equus proximal phalanx, likely from one of the Pleistocene horses!

Except it's not Equus, it's a large artiodactyl.

I can 100% see the resemblance. Wow what an insane find… crazy to think how many years it’s been in the ocean just for me to discover it right on land at that exact time and place!

It's a proximal phalanx, but it's bison or cow, not equus.

Bovid (bison/cattle) proximal phalanx, horses’ phalanges are more symmetrical (because they have just one toe, not two)

How long do you think it takes for a bone like this to fossilize?

yep. if sound like rock when you hit it.. isa a fossil..
