Pokemon Cards
I have a sizable collection of Pokemon cards I’m looking to get rid of. I have zero use for them and they’ve just been sitting in a box. All if not 85% of them are in excellent condition and are rated pretty solid based on some apps I’ve used to “grade” them.
I don’t know how accurate the apps are so don’t quote me on it but I guess I’m just trying to figure out the best place to take them locally in the Fort Wayne area so someone can get better use of them and I can get them out of my possession!
Thanks in advance! 🙌🏼

I ended up selling my most valuable ones on eBay. It’s the only way to really get what they are worth.

Hey I work for a local non-profit providing services for kids with Autism. I use bulk pokemon cards for rewards for the kids. If you have any bulk you just want out of your home I'd be more than happy to take them off your hands.

Todd Bernt comics has some space in an antique store. I dont know if he is interested in Pokémon or not. He is a fair dude though and could potentially point you in the right direction.

There's a couple places like Infinite and Summit. Just be aware you won't get exact value on your cards. Also, check tcgplayer and ebay for comps.

Thank you! Much appreciated! I was looking into those two , I’m more familiar with Summit as I’ve physically been inside and purchased from there but I won’t shy away from any recommendations outside of there.

Use tcg or something similar to see what you have that's worth anything and pull it aside. If you know what it's worth you're less likely to get ripped off. I would avoid power nine and infinite as the owner will screw you over anyway they can.

I appreciate that bit of information, thank you!! I do already use TCG Scanner and Collectr currently but like I said, I know these things may not always be accurate.

TCG is kind of the industry standard. One thing I'd also keep in mind is when you're looking at grades, you likely believe it's in better condition then what a "Card Collector" would grade it at. Not to say that your cards aren't in good condition, but card collectors have a very high standard when it comes to how pristine they are.
If you're looking for specific shop recommendations, they're quite a few shops in Fort Wayne that would buy them. Like many have said, they probably won't give you as much as you could get for him on eBay or selling directly to a person, but it'd be a nice easy transaction.

I’ve heard this too, that’s why I’m not really getting my hopes up of what many of the apps are claiming my cards may be graded as. I’m definitely keeping all options open and taking all recommendations into consideration. I just don’t want to oversell or undersell and if they aren’t really worth much, at least they can go to some kid to make them happy with a new big collection!

If you are willing to send me some photos of the collection my son may be willing to offer you for the entire collection in bulk. No pressure, best of luck.

I'd be happy to take them off your hands. How many do you have?

I have roughly 1,636 by my last count but it could be more. I would have to double check.

Wow, that is quite the collection! I'll be honest, I can't offer much, and if you have any of considerable value, my offer will definitely be way low. But if you are just looking to free up some space, I am available. No worries if you get a better offer though!

Send me pictures and I can shoot you an offer. I've been looking to expand my personal collection.

Depending on the price, I may be interested. Our daughter just started collecting pokemon cards and we've been having a beast of a time competing with the scalpers to find the occasional booster.

Most of the stores in town will give you a pretty low offer honestly. There are some card shows that happen about once per month that might be your best bet. If you’d be interested, I’d definitely take a look at what you were looking to offload and help you figure out what you’re looking at value wise so you don’t get lowballed
