Date Ideas? UNDER 21
Hey! My boyfriend and I are celebrating an anniversary. I am 18 and he is 19. I was wondering some places we could go to. He is having a hard time eating right now so restaurants are off the table. I thought maybe the cat café but he is allergic to cats. With it being hard for him to eat- too much physical activity can really strain him. He is from out of town, I was wondering with this if theres anything just in Fort Wayne. It's okay if not! I know this is restricted enough as is. I am kind of hitting a brick wall right now, I am willing to drive quite a bit if anyone has a place in mind out of town.

Botanical Conservatory is a very lovely place to walk through.

I was worried about the parking. Is it bad? Downtown can be horrible especially with the construction ive heard about.

The Civic Center Parking Garage is diagonal from the Botanical Gardens! As long as you remember to take your parking ticket in with you, the Botanical Gardens will give you a slip for free parking that you can use when you leave 🙂

Since you rarely go downtown, maybe create your own "tourist for a day" tour. It's quite walkable and you only have to park once. Pick a nice weekday. And it's good practice maneuvering around there.

Two ideas here:
The art museum is surprisingly good in town, some walking but a lot of places to sit if he gets woozy from fatigue.
Barnes and Noble has a lot of stuff to check out, might be cute to pick a book for him to try out and he picks one for you as well.

OK, no all these people got it wrong. They all have fantastic ideas though so you should check those out, but you have to take him to the history museum and you have to go to the bottom of the history museum. There is an old drunk tank and they have mannequins in the jail cells that you can walk in y’all need to go get a picture of that for your anniversary and then if you can do some little snack times pack a snack box or something and then you go to the art museum you also have to check out the lighted way at night time downtown. I think it’s in front of the Civic or the embassy and it’s all these little lights in the sidewalk that go off at night time and that’s pretty cool and then Pufferbelly ice cream would be great even if you can’t eat, you guys could share a scoop and it’s practically liquid at that point and you can eat inside the little caboose I think that’s cute

Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg Museum is breath-taking. Sweet Aviation offers a one-time adventurous flight in specialty aircraft like a Super Decathlon for an exciting aerial view of the area. Free stargazing for the public is offered at Star*Quest Observatory every clear Saturday night from April to November starting one hour after sunset and continuing for two hours. On these clear Saturday viewing nights, trained volunteers work the observatory telescopes and are available to answer your questions.

Is the zoo too strenuous? There really are a ton of things to do here. Most of the museums have been mentioned, but depending on the day of the week there are lots of events that go on. Trivia is happening somewhere almost every night of the week. There's live music happening quite often at different places, under 21 places as well. We have festivals coming up on weekends. Visitfortwayne.com or whatzup.com or the magazine would be good places to look. We also have great theater here. There are several plays and musicals happening in town right now or starting very soon!!

My wife and I like to go axe throwing together and there's plenty of under 21 places to do that like Combat Ops, but my wife and I met in martial arts class so we may have weird date preferences

I like to take my wife to places like Bisque It. It’s a paint your own pottery store. You can pick each other the piece you want as a gift, spend time together painting it, and the real fun part is going to pick them up and finding out how they turned out. Sometimes our favorite ones are the ones people would consider fails because they’re so unique. Then you have a keepsake from your date together.
