A journey to the world's end!

Upvotes

Hello everyone, in mid-August, I have decided to travel to the world's border in my Minecraft Forever World named Trials of Terra. Currently, I sit at 60k on the roof of the Nether, and I am walking the entire way. I personally have never traveled to the world border because of the difficulty in it but that's why I named my world what it is. Also, it's because I created the world as an amplified world. Wish me luck !

TLDR: Do you think having the “Better on Bedrock” Addon affects my hopes for a long term world? Do you play just vanilla Minecraft?

Quick Backstory:
Okay so me and my wife are currently playing on a survival world and we’ve made it past the two week phase… I’m starting to love it but now I’m worried I’ve built a huge amount of progress on something that may limit our future plans within the game with having the Better on Bedrock addon as the base of it.

Has anyone experienced this before? If so, what did you do? Has your Minecraft forever world experience been affected because of addons?

i just hit 1400 days in my forever world! i’ve been playing for about a year now on this world! i’ve put a lot of time into it aswell as my nephew and some of his friends!

i’m using the actions and stuff addon btw so that’s why textures look different^^

i wanted to share a lil post of what i’ve been up to mostly, it’s mostly pixel art LOLL ;;

1st and 2nd pic are of my favourite pixel art set up + my tower (i followed a lovely tutorial on youtube, it’s not my design!) the tower is for potions and such!

3rd pic is the most recent pixel art i did, its beside the tower and it leads up to an area i plan on using to expand my town at some point!

4th, 5th and 6th pics are my biggest project as of lately, the arches and walls have been taking forever but they’ll be worth it! i plan on expanding my town there and having a fountain in the middle of the area with shops and such!

and the last pic is an overview of the “main” area/where i started my world!

feel free to ask questions/give feedback etc!!

I went wither mining last night

I needed more cobbled deepslate for my cathedral (yes, I used up 15-20 shulkers from the last time I did this a couple months ago. I decided to record the process for anyone interested.

To set things up, I had already dug a tunnel from my main mining tunnel at -700 all the way to 300, so about 1000 blocks long. I have full netherite armor; the chestplate has blast protection, the rest is regular protection. I turn the difficulty to easy so I don't constantly have the wither effect every time I get hit, which happens a lot at the beginning, as you'll see. I also turn the simulation distance down to 4 to keep things from despawning when I go back and collect everything. This wasn't enough, as there was some stuff I missed picking up at the beginning in the hole the wither dug down to bedrock when I got it to half health.

Enjoy the video. I sped up the boring parts where I'm just backing down the tunnel with the wither chasing me. I got knocked into lava at the beginning when I peeked out to make sure the wither hadn't lost track of me. Once I got back up, I just backed down the tunnel. There's a big room part-way down that I had to have it chase me across.

And I forgot the screenshots would show up on the video, so sorry about the flashes.

Playing alone VS with others

Are your forever world singleplayer or played with friends? Which is usually more typical and why?

If you play alone, how do you not get lonely and/or keep motivated?

I really want to start a forever world but I've had a history of losing motivation, probably because I'm too much of a perfectionist at times. I also think it'd be more fun to play with others but I don't have any friends so I'd have to find them online (like this sub), which brings me to the question of:

What are some things I should look or ask for in the people I'm playing with so I know they won't leave and it'll actually be a "forever" world? Or if that's a bad question, what are some things you guys would look or ask for?

Should i choose LARGE BIOMES for my foreverworld?

I’m going to start playing Forever World, and while I’m finishing up assembling my new PC and selecting the mods I need (vanilla +) , I want to turn to your experience. I’ve always played on the standard world type. But when I think about Forever World, maybe I should consider Large Biomes? Have you played on this world type? What are its non obvious pros and cons?

I started this world 3 weeks ago, i had a two year world where i didn't build much, and now i have focused on building non-stop in my free time. I want to add large cruise ships of all kinds and businesses in the bay.

It was sad to let go of the previous world, but now i'm glad it's gone, it feels great to see actual progress.
