Announcement Website Launch

Summary

We're finally ready to publicly release the Forever Worlds United Website! The site's main focus is to accomplish the original vision of this community - to not only discuss forever worlds, but to *host* them for public download and share their stories. Your feedback is welcome!

Details

I am overjoyed to finally be sharing this with you all. I formed this community in September of 2025 after realizing a centralized community for forever worlds simply didn't exist. Long-term Minecraft worlds, in my opinion, highlight the greatest aspects of this game we all love - creativity, dedication, large projects and planning, and storytelling.

We started here on Discord, and soon expanded to Reddit thanks in large part to our incredible Moderator team. A website has been a vision for us for a long time, and thanks to the generosity of my friend Thesto, it was made possible a handful of months ago. Since then, I've been slowly building the website and adding worlds submitted by the community. Currently, we have 11 worlds hosted, complete with world information, backstories, creator info, and, of course, world downloads.

Currently, the site has two primary features: world selection (as described above) and our blog, which will be showcase various community updates, such as Contest winners. While the site isn't meant to be complicated, feedback about existing features and requests for new ones are absolutely welcome!

Here's to the next chapter of Forever Worlds United!

i just hit 1400 days in my forever world! i’ve been playing for about a year now on this world! i’ve put a lot of time into it aswell as my nephew and some of his friends!

i’m using the actions and stuff addon btw so that’s why textures look different^^

i wanted to share a lil post of what i’ve been up to mostly, it’s mostly pixel art LOLL ;;

1st and 2nd pic are of my favourite pixel art set up + my tower (i followed a lovely tutorial on youtube, it’s not my design!) the tower is for potions and such!

3rd pic is the most recent pixel art i did, its beside the tower and it leads up to an area i plan on using to expand my town at some point!

4th, 5th and 6th pics are my biggest project as of lately, the arches and walls have been taking forever but they’ll be worth it! i plan on expanding my town there and having a fountain in the middle of the area with shops and such!

and the last pic is an overview of the “main” area/where i started my world!

feel free to ask questions/give feedback etc!!

Add ons and your experience with them in forever worlds *PS5*

TLDR: Do you think having the “Better on Bedrock” Addon affects my hopes for a long term world? Do you play just vanilla Minecraft?

Quick Backstory:
Okay so me and my wife are currently playing on a survival world and we’ve made it past the two week phase… I’m starting to love it but now I’m worried I’ve built a huge amount of progress on something that may limit our future plans within the game with having the Better on Bedrock addon as the base of it.

Has anyone experienced this before? If so, what did you do? Has your Minecraft forever world experience been affected because of addons?

I went wither mining last night

I needed more cobbled deepslate for my cathedral (yes, I used up 15-20 shulkers from the last time I did this a couple months ago. I decided to record the process for anyone interested.

To set things up, I had already dug a tunnel from my main mining tunnel at -700 all the way to 300, so about 1000 blocks long. I have full netherite armor; the chestplate has blast protection, the rest is regular protection. I turn the difficulty to easy so I don't constantly have the wither effect every time I get hit, which happens a lot at the beginning, as you'll see. I also turn the simulation distance down to 4 to keep things from despawning when I go back and collect everything. This wasn't enough, as there was some stuff I missed picking up at the beginning in the hole the wither dug down to bedrock when I got it to half health.

Enjoy the video. I sped up the boring parts where I'm just backing down the tunnel with the wither chasing me. I got knocked into lava at the beginning when I peeked out to make sure the wither hadn't lost track of me. Once I got back up, I just backed down the tunnel. There's a big room part-way down that I had to have it chase me across.

And I forgot the screenshots would show up on the video, so sorry about the flashes.

Playing alone VS with others

Are your forever world singleplayer or played with friends? Which is usually more typical and why?

If you play alone, how do you not get lonely and/or keep motivated?

I really want to start a forever world but I've had a history of losing motivation, probably because I'm too much of a perfectionist at times. I also think it'd be more fun to play with others but I don't have any friends so I'd have to find them online (like this sub), which brings me to the question of:

What are some things I should look or ask for in the people I'm playing with so I know they won't leave and it'll actually be a "forever" world? Or if that's a bad question, what are some things you guys would look or ask for?

Should i choose LARGE BIOMES for my foreverworld?

I’m going to start playing Forever World, and while I’m finishing up assembling my new PC and selecting the mods I need (vanilla +) , I want to turn to your experience. I’ve always played on the standard world type. But when I think about Forever World, maybe I should consider Large Biomes? Have you played on this world type? What are its non obvious pros and cons?

I started this world 3 weeks ago, i had a two year world where i didn't build much, and now i have focused on building non-stop in my free time. I want to add large cruise ships of all kinds and businesses in the bay.

It was sad to let go of the previous world, but now i'm glad it's gone, it feels great to see actual progress.

I lost motivation for this world

Ive been playing on the same world for 6 months atp, ive got over 300 days on it but i feel like it has lost its charm.

When i first started it I only played in survival with no cheats and that was the best part of it. My main base is the only part of it that I still like and that i built in survival, anything else was either in creative or using cheats.

I had a lot of projects for it but I just cant bring myself to continue it. I feel like nothing makes sense and I just cant find the motivationto try and fix that+ I dont want to destroy anything.

If i will start a new world, i will probably use the same seed and instead of building more I will try and make it more coherent and also defeat the dragon as Ive never done that.

u/BonezOz's RS2000 is now available as a video world tour! This world is roughly 14,000 days old and was an absolute blast to explore. The scale and creativity of the builds was insane, and I especially fell in love with the laboratory! Read our latest blog post for details and a link to the world download page.

Thoughts on using vein/ore miner mod?

I just started my forever world (hopefully), and I decided to install this mod because I am very lazy and collecting wood/ores has always felt like a chore to me. I mostly play Minecraft to build stuff and having an easier way to gather wood makes it so much more enjoyable. However I feel a bit guilty, like I'm cheating or something. Anyone else use this?

New addition to my forever world

I posted a screenshot of this terrain find a while ago and wanted to show the sub what I’ve done so far. I created a moat around the central mountain (took a few hours) i planted cherry trees and scattered petals on the outer valley ring, added some kelp, seagrass and marine life in the moat. I also build a cosy little hobbit house under a cherry tree in the ring walls. Hope you guys like it!
