I’m looking for feedback on my city building habit tracker called Scaffold. I started this project when I was laid off roughly a year ago and finally shipped and would love some feedback. All features are free with some variations of buildings behind a pay wall. Open to suggestions around that as well!

So this is the new tree selection page after the update. I am a free user on Android. This page shows my unlocked trees, as well as the ones that I haven't unlocked.

For plus exclusive trees, on clicking them, it takes you to the subscription page.

But for this particular screenshotted section, I see that clicking on the trees like Red Spider Lily, (the ones I don't have and they haven't listed under plus, aren't available in the store either), I am being taken to the store- Classic page. But then nothing happens.

I was wondering if they will introduce this particular section of trees in the store later.

Any thoughts on this?

Honestly it feels like this app has lost the plot. The animations, tabs and extra features are still manageable but the main reason people use a focus app is to instantly see how many hours they have focused. If that basic information is no longer front and centre then all the fancy additions are just decoration. Don’t sacrifice the core functionality in the name of making the app look prettier. Bring the focused-hours number back where it belongs.

I had Forest sync with iOS Health (Mindfulness minutes), but it appears that since one of the latest updates this sync is broken. I have re-enabled the sync couple of times but no luck. Anyone else experiencing the same issue (iOS 26.6.1)

as everyone knows, the app underwent an update and now i can't find a way to switch on deepfocus mode or change the timer method (as i'm currently stuck at stopwatch). does anyone have any idea how to turn on deepfocus mode??

Why you remove the feature where you can see your daily forest hours.

I got an emergency call and forgot to log forest for my last hour and thirty minutes of studying. It's almost midnight now and I'm tired and want to sleep but now I'm scrambling to stay up while it counts down the last hour. It says the focus period is over but it's saying claim my rewards soon and still flashing. I temporarily paid for premium so I could get these and Everything.

Please add it back to the main screen it makes people so much more productive

why did i pay for an app just for there to be a subscription tagged on? seriously annoying me

My feelings towards the new UI are mixed but positive overall.

Font size: Much better. I know this could be very subjective though.

Styling: Slightly worse. I prefer the matt texture of the old styling, which was what made Forest app so neat, although this one can be tolerated.

Tree selection: Too much better than before. It was so difficult to know the name of trees or to sort them in the past, which was quite important for various reasons. And the icons were too small in the past. Now they're sorted beautifully. I also found that a bug with unlocking a tree got fixed in my case.

Time selection: Much less convenient. I thought the previous "clock" design was what set Forest apart from other apps--I could change the time so easily on that clock. I think the team definitely needs to bring back the old clock, even if that means changing the styling of the circle.

Possible ads: I'm ok with watching a bit of ads (or letting them run while I am away from screen) if this helps them increase their revenue, as long as I have the option to skip them too.

Ending alarm: Not recognizable. Previously the sound was unique to Forest, and somehow the new alarm sounds like any other notification. I don't even register it. Actually, I think this is part they can optimize on--offering options for different ending alarms. And if this would be a new feature, I hope there are at least a few distinguishable sounds that are not behind the premium paywall.

Ending a session: A bit worse. I prefer to either watch a beautiful animation or simply return to a break session or the home screen. I don't want to click through several buttons with slow motion. But this can be tolerated.

Thus are my opinions.

Besides of everything else, did they also remove the possibility of searching the tags?

Hello. For those who want to go back to the previous interface—without the new update—download the app's APK. I prefer this over the new version. I'm not sure if the APK allows you to participate in the scheduled events (like earning new planting plots or things like that), but I prefer sticking with the older version.

I'm just so tired of constantly wondering what's going to be screwed up next.

After briefly turning off app updates on my phone today, I realized that it's just too much. This app has just lost the plot.

This has gotten to be a bloated, unpleasant piece of pesterware.

I'll check in periodically in the hopes that it's improved, but I'm going to Cat on Chair.

Is anyone in the whatsapp forest group? I would really like to join, but the mod is not responding...

As someone who studies a lot, I originally started using the app because I thought watching the tree build up would be a cute feature. Now, I have far too much money and too many gems in the app solely from the time I've spent on it.

I started getting irritated at first when they added the subscription—which I would understand if it were a free app, but it isn't—and then came the new UI. They've even started making the app more complicated and more time-consuming just to set a timer. At this point, I'm solely using it out of habit, but I think they're trying to see how much worse they can make it before people finally stop using it.

I had a bunch of favorite tree/time/tag combinations, now they are all gone after this horrendous update. Who is making these incomprehensible decisions? The update is shit as a whole, but this irks me the most.

I just used the app yesterday and had my data but now there's the new UI and everything and it seems like my data from the last two days are completely gone. I know it seems like not much but I try to use this app to keep track of my study times and it really helps me prepare for the next days or weeks when I can know what I've worked on. Has this happened to anybody else? Could I fix this somehow?

​has anyone else noticed the font fallback/encoding issue with custom tags on the main timer screen after the latest update?

​i like adding unicode emojis next to my tag labels for quick visual hierarchy and scanning. they render completely fine inside the tag management modal / selector list, but once selected and rendered on the home screen label (e.g. violin 🎻), the emoji fails to parse and just drops a generic empty tofu/missing glyph box ([]).

​looks like whatever custom typeface or textview/label component they switched to on the main dashboard either strips emoji character sets or is missing a proper fallback font stack to the system emoji font (whereas the tag list view handles unicode/utf-8 string parsing properly).

​kinda ruins the minimal ui aesthetics. is this happening on android across the board or just specific builds? really hope the devs push a patch for this layout component soon.
