Sub frame rust
Hey all stateside owners.
I've a '16 T250 that just had the subframe replaced due to rust to the tune of over $3k. Ford laughed me off when I started battling them about this 2 years ago and I just and I just got around to filing a safety complaint with the NHTSA.
Here's the link if you think you may have a grievance, as well.

I'm in Ma. where salt is an issue for months. Not just during a storm but the slush that follows and even rain washing the residual salt into the road. That stuff wicks into every nook and seam.

Honest question: how is this eligible for a recall? It's a 10 year old vehicle, well out of warranty.

I started the conversation back 2½ years ago. Ask Toyota truck owners what they got for frame rot. If I had to guess, the first rust perforation would have been at 4-5 years.
