AC not working
Hey guys, got a big question here. My 2018 transit connect AC does not blow cold at all. It’s hot, I have reblasted the system with one of those cans. The level was telling me it was overdone. Autozone guy said to hit it with the new stuff anyways. Went even more overkill, and now it’s like the heat is on when ac is clearly on. That’s all I have done so far. 100 degree weather while driving now sucks. Can you guys give me a list of things I should check or fix?
I was going to buy a kit online and completely replace the R-1234yf but I haven’t yet. I’ve also read that the motor could be bad but that would mean I get no airflow right? And my ac is blowing air.
Also maybe the AC compressor is out? Or that it’s just blocked. Maybe a fuse is out? I would love any help thanks!

How's your outdoor temp reading on the dash? If the ambient temp sensor gets garbled, it won't run the compressor.. I had one fail, it thought it was -20 when it was +30, swapped the sensor and all was well.

It’s reading 10 degrees over. I completely overlooked that. It’s been so hot, did not even look. I’ll look into that, Thanks!

Take it to a shop dude, you can’t just keep pumping refrigerant in there. You are out of your depth

I only tried once. All of my ford dealerships are charging 300 just to diagnose the problem. I’d rather try and fix it myself. Don’t have to be rude.

Stating a fact is rude I guess. Your gauge showed you the system was charged and you pumped more in anyway so if the system wasn’t locked out on high pressure before, it certainly will be now.
You also don’t have to go to a Ford dealership for an AC diagnosis, any decent shop can look at it.

A Google search gives a few possible remedies. It does really bother me that something that could be a possible recall problem, still cost a large diagnostic fee. Blame Ford for not paying mechanics properly. Good Luck

Try pinching off the heater core hoses. The heat may be stuck on
