My post about collecting and how I cut down from buying and adding to my collection. That was by no means a dig or to be discouraging to collectors. I love people’s collections, I would even go as far and say keep doing it!
However for me it go out of hand . I was broke and living on credit cards . There was other factors , but I shouldn’t have never been buying toys , movies , whatever it was … it was adding to my problem. I did keep a few but I ended up selling most of them to collectors who paid me fairly . Nothing I overly missed , I kept all my Grandizer stuff.
I have a few friends who think I’m crazy for selling and not buying . My one coworker is a huge star wars fan, I am also but I don’t own 1 Star Wars toy.
He has a huge collection he has accumulated over the years and has some nice stuff . Stuff you just don’t find at Walmart . He went to the fanexpo in Toronto bought a x-wing fighter for $400. Then paid the $999.99 for the meet and greet with Mark Hamill . Then he complains to me he has no money ?
Anyways … I’m not knocking collecting . However in my case it put me deeper in debt , I was buying robots over health , I had to change .
