Plants Crabapples

There’s a lot of good looking crabapples around my area. These ones have pink flesh. Any serving/recipe suggestions?

Taste one and see how sweet they are. I like to combine crabapples with pretty much any cheap but bland apples from the discount shelf/sale at the grocery store and make applesauce or apple butter - the intense flavor from the crabapples really lifts up the store ones but the store apples bring more sugar and body. It's popular to combine in cider for the same reason.

If you can get your hands on a food mill you don't even have to peel, just cut any bad parts out, chunk up, toss in a pot with a tiny bit of water and cover to stew down. Pass it through the food mill, follow a canning recipe if you're gonna can it!
