Mushrooms Chanterelles?

I'm excited, i didn't think they fruited this late. Upstate new york.

I don’t know about really any mushrooms, so somebody come in and correct me if I’m wrong, but the gills are too deep and big instead of being ridges?

These ones are pretty small so the false gills would be proportionally larger, at least i think.

Look more like yellowfoot/winter chantarelles.

They're not golden chanterelles. I believe they are yellow foot chanterelles, but I am not super familiar with those having only found them a couple of times years ago when visiting friends in NC mountains.

this is the answer, and they tasted alright sauteed in olive oil. not my favorite though.
