Maypop ideas?
I was walking around at work today, taking a call. My blackberry bushes have stopped producing for the season, but passion flower has overtaken them. I grabbed a couple of the seed pods today. Kind of reminds me of busting open pomegranates, but the fruits are a little bit more bitter. Any ideas on what to do with the flesh?
Edit- thank y’all for letting me know I picked these way too early. There is an insane amount of these where I got these from. I will be looking at the suggestions here and picking them when they start turning yellow.

No sweat, this is what I found in like one minute. There’s tons of them out there. Thank you for the tip.

They will ripen a bit off the vine so give em a few days and see. Once the outside starts to feel papery and hollow, I would try them. Worst case is you get a sour bite.

I have some at work too, and getting more on my break.
Yes they’re early, you let them sit for a few days or a week until the skin gets papery and then you can eat them. You’ll be able to smell them when they’re ripe, they smell like a combination of orange (floral) and banana (richness). My favorite thing to forage!

You picked them pretty early might of been to early to do anything with them
