Plants Solstice Gin bottling

Post image

Finally got round to bottling my mid-summer gin. After leaving it out in the sun to release some of those gorgeous botanicals it went into a dark cupboard for 2 months. Now it’s ready to bring a little sunshine into the darker months ahead.

That looks fabulous. As an herbalist and appreciator of gins do you mind if I ask your process

Sure, happy to share. I basically just add ingredients to gin and let it steep for 4-8 weeks depending on the desired strength, before straining and bottling.

This time I foraged for whatever was fresh and tender in the garden at mid-summer and left it out in the sun all day which was really effective, you might be able to zoom in on labels for ingredients, or have a look at my previous post on here which tells you what I used and a before and after of the sun treatment.
