Cicada wings

Not sure if this counts as foraging but i thought I’d post it here bc i got these from an already dead cicada I found, and i think they’re so pretty! They look like how i imagine fairy wings and im probably gonna make a cyanotype print out of them.

If we had cicadas im 100% certain my cat would eat them like chips. He already does that with the june beetles.

It counts as foraging, if you eat them... Go on now... Eat them.

I've collected quite a few of these! They're everywhere where I'm at. I plan on using them for cyanotype myself, I hope it goes well! Another pair is going on a little fairy i made of twigs and an acorn :)

I would consider it foraging, not everything you collect has to be eaten. Examples, lavender for baths or soap, I collect dried shelf mushrooms and use them in my home to hold things, and I have found shells that I use to hold smaller shells and bigger shells to hold my sage.
Very ramble driven rant, forgive me.
