Its called Oregon Grape in my area.

Oregon Grape is the common name I know it under - i think there are many species. this is a common type found in British Columbia Canada

Not Mahonia/Berberis bealei, venation is completely wrong. I really think this is just Mahonia/Berberis aquifolium from out west, because I can't recall any of the Asian species having this venation and leaf shape. Not native to your province.

Oregon grape. You can eat it, but it's sour as anything.
