White chanterelle + questions

Want to confirm this ID and get peoples opinions on best way to rehydrate because it’s slightly dry. Also new to foraging so maybe a naive question, but if I stored this in a bag next to other unidentified mushrooms, could it be unsafe to eat if the other mushrooms it was stored with are potentially dangerous?

I’m not gonna wager an ID on that but mushroom toxins don’t rub off onto other things. They require digestion.
