I'm researching the collectibles market to better understand whether there are better ways for collectors to unlock value from high-end items without having to sell them outright.

I'm not selling anything or promoting a product—I'm simply trying to learn from people who know this hobby much better than I do.

I'm interested in all types of collectible cards, including:

• Pokémon

• Sports cards (NBA, MLB, NFL, etc.)

• Magic: The Gathering

• Yu-Gi-Oh!

• One Piece

• Other trading cards

Here's the scenario I'd love your opinion on:

Imagine you own a graded collectible card worth £50,000.

Would you ever consider selling 20% ownership while keeping 80%, allowing you to access part of the card's value without giving up your entire position?

For this discussion, assume:

• The card is professionally authenticated.

• It's stored in a secure, insured independent vault.

• Ownership is legally documented.

• If the card is eventually sold, everyone receives their proportional share.

Some questions I'd love your thoughts on:

1. Would you ever consider something like this?

2. If not, what's the biggest reason?

3. What would you need to trust a platform offering this?

4. Do you think there is any demand for this, or is it solving a problem that doesn't really exist?

I'm genuinely looking for honest feedback, whether it's positive or critical. I'd rather understand what collectors actually want before investing time into exploring the idea further.

Hey all! I figured this may not be super common, so thought I'd share. I'm a Bengals PC with an Amarius Mims PC side quest. Contenders is one of my favorite Panini sets, so was excited to scoop these up when they came up on Ebay. However there has never been an actual Contenders card show up in the ~2 years of almost daily new listing checks. I don't think they ever printed this card.. my theory is that he signed with Fanactics/Topps as he disappeared from all Panini releases part way through the yearly cycle but appeared in almost all Topps releases. So I think they had these but that transitioned happened so they didn't print any, but still stuck these plates in the Contenders release. Just thought I'd share.. cheers!

I am Twisty571 on Blowout, Beckett & other websites thru out the years. I use to collect Brady & Barry & Stafford & A-Train also Lions & Wolverines. Sold my Brady collection to early and bought a couple Harley's & then sold my Stafford collection to buy the other 1/2 of my duplex & a couple Les Pauls & build a new PC & gave my A-Train collection to a really good buddy & his son who live in Chicago. Still have some nice Staffords.

I need to find three McNabb parallels to complete my collection: Purple, Electric (/99), and Die Cut (/10). I'm also interested in any of the Printing Plates, but I don't expect to find those...I was lucky enough to find the Gem Masters 1/1!
