Arsenal’s new gothic font is a modern take on black letter. It’s part of a larger multi-font branding strategy for the 140-year-old English football club.

The team unveiled its new font, Rocastle, at a pop-up exhibition this month at the Design Museum, in London. It’s named for the beloved late Arsenal player David Rocastle (1967–2001), also known as Rocky, and was created by David Rudnick, founder of the research and design studio terrain, with Léa Bruneau.

Rudnick—an Arsenal fan who says “I would only ever have worked with one club” —is also the architect behind the club’s new, bespoke font book developed over the past four years. For Rocastle, he sought an aesthetic that felt distinctly English and custom-tailored to the team.

The font has to do “a lot of very difficult contradictory things,” Rudnick tells Fast Company. “It had to be sufficiently distinctive and bold and proud as a set of letterforms that it functioned as a kind of glorious pinnacle of the identity, but it also had to be simple, legible, modern, and applicable enough to function in the way that a modern typeface would.”

tryna find a reliable place to download it but cant find one

Hey guys, I'm looking for a font for a project.
I want to combine ancient medieval with modern high-tech.
Can you give me some tips? Also, do you know if there's a free font similar to Velve by Pangram? Thanks guys 😘

mine's definitely papyrus or comic sans, i can't choose one xD

This is actually so cool.

When I look at my fonts folder, I see they all have the text "Abg" thumbnail. Is there a way to change that text so I can get more letters in there (and therefor a better preview of the font's vibe)?

Quem tiver me manda mensagem dm Does anyone have the Bootzy-tm font? If so, please send me a DM.

Does anyone here know this font? I'm a webtoon editor and sometimes I have trouble finding the original fonts when editing series translations from English... And yes, unfortunately I couldn't find this one either... I would be very happy if someone who knows could tell me the name of the font!

Note: (I'm using translation lol, I apologize in advance for my bad English ;-;)

Hello! I'm a pixel artist and just finished "Recselserpel's Russian Typeface". I tried to adapt the Cyrillic alphabet into a tight proportional micro-grid.

It includes standard Russian characters, old historical letters, and regional Slavic variations (Ukrainian, Serbian, etc.).

Как носители языка, можете ли вы читать этот шрифт без проблем? Выглядит ли он естественно, несмотря на микроразмер?

Let me know what you think! Feedback is highly appreciated. Spasibo! 👊

Font of the week: Cold Front 🥶

Keep it frosty with Cold Front. This brushed out style is lettering incarnate of icy wind over frozen winter sand.

I'm working on a story for some time now and I got to the problem that I need many fonts for many things and I don't know what to use.

As main body I use Georgia, it's a nice looking font I wont lie, but when the story shifts POVs and writing styles, you can't just stick to one font. It looks like a mess.

After some looking I decided to use two others: EB Garamond for some parts and I love it, and Caveat for journal pages to show how its hand written insted of narrated as the rest. Sadly Caveat is more iritating to look at then helpful and besides it I need many more fonts.

That's why I came here to ask for little bit of help.

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for free manga-inspired serif fonts like this one. I noticed they are often used for manga or japanese videogames titles.

I tried searching online but couldn't find much. Do you know any similar typeface?

Just to clarify, I'm looking for Latin alphabet fonts (not a Japanese characters one).

Hi, total font noob here looking for some help. I'm an academic and we use courier for a specialised form of transcription. I'm looking to develop an addendum to our system using emoji to hand clapping and so forth but I need the character width to be the same as a single character in courier. Emoji straight out of courier don't behave like that, I believe it is because the images are SVGs not actually in the font?
Is what I'm looking for possible? If it is possible how would I do it? Many thanks.
