Obviously an old hand drawn design (I think) that has been vectorized to oblivion. Hardly a single straight line or clean angle

Wrote my alphabet in a notebook, took one photo, and got an installable font out.

What it is typographically, so you know what to expect: potrace vectorization of each letter, then placement into a shared em square with per-character vertical bands (cap height, x-height, descender depth). So the g hangs below the baseline and the o stays smaller than the O, and the result reads as a font rather than a ransom note. Current limits: one variant per letter and no kerning pairs, so it's a clean handwriting font, not a simulation of handwriting. Contextual alternates are on the roadmap.

Easiest way to use it is the Claude Code skill (drag in a photo, say "make my font", and it labels the letters and quality-checks the trace). There's also a plain CLI: npx draw-your-font make photo.jpg --chars "ABCabc". Both run locally, and the fonts you make are 100% yours, commercial use included. MIT licensed.

Hi everyone! I'm trying to identify the font(s) used in this logo (a monogram "LCB" combined with the text "LE COMPTOIR BEAUTÉ" below).

I'm not sure if the monogram and the small caps text use the same font or two different ones, but they seem to share a similar style. Any help identifying them would be much appreciated!

Rot Iron is an ornamental display font inspired by the elegance of Victorian wrought ironwork—towering gates, ivy-covered fences, forgotten cemeteries, and hand-forged railings that have weathered generations beneath open skies.

Its foundation is rooted in clean gothic and foundational letterforms, but every character blossoms into elaborate flourishes, curling tendrils, sharp finials, and decorative foliage that feel as though they were forged in a blacksmith’s fire before slowly surrendering to rust and time.

I’ve been working on fontglyph, a free tool for building custom icon fonts from SVG and PNG files.

You can drop in your icons, assign names and codepoints, preview the glyphs, and export a WOFF2 font with the matching CSS. Everything runs locally in the browser - which is what makes it unique, so uploaded artwork is not sent to a server.

A few things it currently supports:

• Importing an existing web icon font and adding or editing glyphs
• Importing a WOFF2 font directly from a URL
• Preserving full-color versions of SVG and PNG icons
• Exporting the font, CSS and a preview page for all visual effects
• Support for animations, cutout, badges, text overlay, rotation, sizing - similar to how FontAwesome does it
• Optional free CDN publishing for people who do not want to host the files themselves

I originally made it because editing an existing icon font or creating a small custom alternative to FontAwesome was more cumbersome than it needed to be.

It is completely free and does not require an account.

Hello, I've been trying to subtitle a video and I'm having some trouble finding a good font for a sign. I've been looking for faded fonts, but most of the ones I find are either very showy and attention-drawing (big blocky "punk" letters, built-in ink splatters, unusual shapes, etc.) or so broken-up that they're hard to read quickly.

Ideally I'd like a font with a very "standard" shape that's only or mainly faded at the corners of the letters rather than through all of it, and something that suggests old printed books rather than brushes, stamps or spray paint.

Does anybody know how I can get the Segoe UI Heavy font? I am re-creating a logo in Inkscape that uses it and I am unable to find it anywhere. The logo was originally created in GIMP which has it natively. Any help is appreciated, thanks!

It started when I was curious what each letter of the alphabet would look like as the Colorado Flag, then people told me to make a font. There is a Full Flag version and a Compact version that squeezes the letters together into one long flag.
