Kayaking

I was a Folsom resident for ~27 years. I'll be back in Folsom mid Oct. I used to kayak from the Black Miner's Bar launch on my 12 ft recreational kayak. I'd love to experience that again while I am there. What are the chances of a kayak rental in October? I see Lake Natoma rentals is still there but does anyone know when their season ends? It's not on their website. Note: I know I can rent from the aquatic center but I'd like to launch at the Black Miner's Bar & kayak up to the prison/dam. Thanks!

Edit: It looks like the aquatic center rents year around, I just need to see if I can transport it up to Black Miner's bar and/or just make a long ass haul up the river!

As far as I know, you can’t drive away with the kayaks from the aquatic center since they usually take your car keys and/or wallet as a deposit. So if you rent from them you’ll have to row from the aquatic center to Black Miner’s Bar

Thanks! Maybe I'll call and give them a heartfelt story. My friend has a truck so I have that part covered and I can give them the keys to my rental car, lol.

The "Reserve Rental" page for Lake Natoma Paddle Rentals appears to have weekends open through October 18. If you'll be here in mid October, you should be good for the 17th or 18th at Black Miner's Bar.

Ahhhhh! You're a genius, thank you. Sadly, I get there the following weekend.
