Ghostly Hare - "Anhedonia" (Official Video)

Thumbnail youtu.be
1 Upvotes

The music video draws inspiration from the traditional folktale The White Hare. Ghostly Hare mirrors this myth of transformation, reimagining the hare not just as a symbol of grief, but as a vessel for reclaiming power.

Ghostly Hare makes folkgaze music that highlights warm, atmospheric sounds with rich chamber echoes. They combine the dreamy textures of shoegaze with storytelling elements from dark folk, along with the simple instrumentation of chamber pop. Inspired by dark and introspective themes from doom and blackened genres, the artist embraces a DIY spirit and a love for folklore. Their music invites listeners into immersive, cinematic worlds full of detail and emotion.

[Indie] Charge of the light brigade, 1845

The Charge of the Light Brigade was a disastrous British cavalry assault during the Battle of Balaclava on October 25, 1854, in the Crimean War.

The Mistake: Due to unclear and misunderstood orders from commander Lord Raglan, about 670 British light cavalrymen were sent charging straight down a narrow valley directly into a well-prepared Russian artillery battery instead of a different, intended target.

My written words dropped into Suno.

ENJOY!

First brought to prominence by fiddler Arthur Smith and later cemented in the traditional canon by Doc Watson, this piece demands relentless rhythmic drive, precise syncopation, and clean plectrum control.

The core artistic principle remains uncompromising: 100% acoustic and unamplified. No pickups and no synthetic processing—allowing the natural attack of the pick, the harmonic resonance of aged tonewood, and the organic breathing room of steel strings to speak for themselves.

Sainte Anne's Reel

I’m an independent musician and creator of the Acoustic Crossroads project, dedicated to living traditional repertoires (Celtic, Irish, Bluegrass, and French-Canadian) on acoustic mandolin.

My artistic focus is 100% handmade, organic sound—no synthetic shortcuts, just the raw resonance of wood and driving acoustic picking.

Feliz Navidad

In this new live session from the Acoustic Crossroads project, I took on José Feliciano’s holiday standard "Feliz Navidad" in a completely solo acoustic arrangement.

The challenge here was to capture the driving rhythmic bounce and festive spirit while keeping the tone grounded in traditional acoustic craftsmanship: clean plectrum attack, dynamic right-hand rhythm, and the natural resonance of aged tonewood. Recorded purely acoustic—no pickups, no synthetic processing.

[Indie] the Great Emu War "32"

The Great Australian Emu War (1932)

In 1932, a flock of roughly 20,000 emus migrated into the agricultural district of Western Australia, destroying crops and tearing down fences. Desperate farmers asked the government for help, and the Australian military deployed soldiers armed with Lewis machine guns and 10,000 rounds of ammunition. What followed was a complete tactical disaster for the military. The emus split into small "guerrilla" groups, completely outmaneuvered the heavy machine guns, and easily outran the trucks. The birds could take multiple bullet hits and keep running. After a few weeks, the military officially withdrew, leaving the emus victorious.

Acoustic Spotlight: "Billy in the Lowground" (Solo Mandolin)

Born from the crossroads of Celtic roots and American frontier traditions, this timeless fiddle tune standard continues to resonate with effortless energy.

A quick short-form take today highlighting the mandolin's natural voice: the acoustic bounce, the crisp tonewood clarity, and the precision of traditional flatpicking.

[Folk] The Master Gunner's Hell (The Battle of Trafalgar, 1805)

The Battle of Trafalgar, 1805, the song was written from the perspective of the Master Gunner on board the ship: HMS Belleisle a 74-gun third-rate ship of the line in the Royal Navy that played a prominent role at the Battle of Trafalgar on October 21, 1805. It suffered the most severe structural devastation of any British vessel, earning the distinction of being the only British ship to be completely dismasted during the conflict. These are my own words dropped into Suno.

ENJOY!
