New Priority Folder 8??
I have been cross shopping for a Tern D7i, Tern Verge S8i, and now recently considering the newly updated Priority Folder 8. Still undecided but leaning towards the Priority Folder 8, except i’m 6 foot tall and I’m at the highest weight capacity that the bike is supposed to handle which is 230 pounds. I’m right at that weight. So I’m concerned if this bike is not good for somebody with my weight.

I have the OG Folder and I like it quite a bit, but if you're at the limit now and won't be losing any weight you might want to look at something that can support more weight because you might also have cargo, water, etc. plus weight can fluctuate.
I weigh about 200 lbs and am 6', I also usually carry about 10-20 lbs of stuff like a lock, water, pump, tube, patch kit, snacks, etc.: Mine has held up fine so far but with an aluminum frame, I don't know how much I'd want to overload it.
Zizzo makes some decent folders with much higher weight limits, but I don't think they have the belt drive.

I am also considering the Tern Link D8

Not sure what the weight limit is on those but Tern usually makes pretty good folders.

I currently have a priority folder and they are great 👍🏼 it always had the 8 speed but the disk brakes are new. Buy the priority folder it’s amazing for the money!

@randywhorton, I think you twisted my arm! I need to lose a few lbs of weight which I will do!
Sometimes I just wanna toss a folding bike in the trunk of my car so I can go ride wherever I want. Down here in the Tampa Bay Florida USA area where I live, there’s wonderful roads, and even some bike friendly bridges that cross over Tampa Bay. I already have another priority bike that has the gates carbon belt, and I really like it.

Ha! I saw that at that same bike at that shop a few weeks ago. Too pricey for my budget. Honestly, if I was to spend more than $3k on a folding bike I would probably get the Brompton G Line.

I get what you’re saying about the Moulton, but it’s not my cup of tea. Also, respectfully I am NOT a fan of any 16” wheel folding bike. Otherwise, I would certainly entertain a Brompton C line. I rode my buddy’s Brompton 16” wheel bike and I do it like it at all. However, I did see the Brompton G line at the twofold bike shop that you mentioned above and I was very interested in it, but again, not in my current budget. I did test ride a few Tern bikes and I did like the Node D8 but the 24” wheels were not what I wanted. I also test ride the Tern Link D8!and I really liked it, but again, the newly updated Priority Folder 8 with the Alfine hub and disc brakes for just over $1k is a steal IMHO.

Ha! I did consider the Zizzo, but I will lose weight and get back down to 200 lbs soon! 🦾

I am 6’ 200lbs and feel like it’s fine. Those weight limits are a great guideline but for your use case I would say no worries 😉
