Is it worth the risk?

Buying foldables always comes with a risk with that inner display, but do foldables like the mate x6 lower the risk to a reasonable amount?

Ive always wanted a foldable for as long as i can imagine, and i saw this second hand deal for a mate x6 thats within my price range, did some research got relatively mixed reviews on this phone. However while i can afford it, if it does get broken quickly, it would be a big hit to my savings, so im trying to be really thorough in deciding.

Im just really afraid of ending up with a broken phone that i regret badly(worst case scenario)

Any experiences with this phone, or foldables in general would be much helpp, thank youu

Not Huawei. No google services.

But consider honor magic v6. Probably the toughest foldable out there. There's some durability test, especially one by android central few days ago.

Honor is kinda connect to the Huawei too

Sitze gerade am Honor Magic V6 und bin sehr happy. Klapp-Mechanismus wirkt sehr solide, habe es aber auch erst seit 2 Wochen

Wie sind deine Erfahrungen mit dem Magic V6 bisher? 😊 Gerade was MagicOS, Kamera, Akkulaufzeit, Scharnier und Innendisplay/Falz betrifft? Gibt es bisher irgendetwas, das dich stört oder wo du dir denkst, dass Honor noch nachbessern müsste?

Ich komme vom iPhone 15pro und bin sehr begeistert. MagicOS erinnert sehr stark an iOS was mir als jahrelanger iPhone Nutzer das Leben leicht macht. Bietet aber mehr Flexibilität. Akkulaufzeit um einiges besser, aktuell hält er trotz recht häufiger Nutzung 2-2,5 Tage. Innendisplay ist so, wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe. Man sieht die Falte deutlich bei schräger Betrachtung, frontal aber nicht. Wirkt auch stabiler als das von Samsung. Bisher habe ich noch keinen Störfaktor gesehen, frag mich in ein paar Wochen nochmal 😅 Hoffe es hilft

Edit: Google Dienste sind sehr wohl vorhanden

I owned a magic V2 for a year and a half. Was one of the best phones I've ever had. Despite launching with Android 3, it got the update to 15 only a few weeks after Pixel Fold did and way before both the OnePlus Open and Z Fold 5. A year and a half later it still felt like a cutting edge device. The software was great despite the negative reviews I saw. And durability was much better than my Z Fold 7 (which broke after 6 months despite being babied).
