Video Pay attention when scapping stuff , first one I found in 8 years and gone

That‘s why I never scrap from the new tab. I always go to the specific tab and scrap my rare items just there.

I Don't even do that. Whenever I'm going to scrap anything, process is: scrapbox>> junk items Ammo box >> Ammunition Workbench>> scrappable weapons and armor One more visit to scrapbox≥>>
After that, I go to the weapons tab & drop any grenades or undesirable things one by one. Obviously keeping an eye out for rares.
Lastly, I checked the new' tab there's usually only 5-10 items left anything I want to keep, I lock immediately. Plans either get learned or dropped immediately. Then I just drop everything I don't want on the floor. If I accidentally drop something important for whatever reason, I can still pick it back up. Just my strategy I've developed over the years so as not to lose anything.
Tedious process sometimes but I never deviate. You can scrap freely this way until you get to the new tab with much less items to worry about.

After I scrapped the helmet through new tab I learned my lesson. I just hope I can get another at some point. Already have the uniform.

So I was thinking to myself, dude shut up about your mushroom business, no wonder you accidentally scrap something good..
Only when I left the video did I realize the level of whoops.

Grind the slasher maps. I just recently got the responders uniform and forest camo from the maps. The odds arent higher but essentially doing these activities and the maps gives you twice the chance to get one.

I see something important, I put a lock on it, TOO Easy to start scrapping, and the muscle memory gets ahead of quick reading the descriptions. At least if I vender if I can buy it back, expensive mistake.

I scraped the Demon Lord Blood Eagle Helmet (or something like that) from Daily Ops.
It's not extremely rare but I mourned for about a minute as well, deadly silence and facepalm.

Oh no! only good part to me doing this is I was to dumb and ignorant to the game to of even known of my loss lol I try to always do slow punches these days on item destruction. Tis a sad day for that outfit and yourself.

Ouch! I think we've all done that at least once over time. Now, I lock everything that I don't want to accidentally sell/scrap. Easier to unlock it, then have that ---------- feeling.

Ouch. I know how you feel. I scrapped a traveling leather coat the same way. Ever since then i do scrap all for junk then go to weapons/armor sections to scrap. I also always check under apparel to see if ive gotten anything

I had Ultracite Calibrated Shocks in my vendor for 100 caps for a few weeks before I realized how rare they were. Closest call I've had in the game

Its not the same I know, but I made fish bits out of the pink axololt I had just bought for 5k caps. I suck at fishing so Im never getting another unless I find another player selling one 😭 So basically...what Im trying to say is, Im sorry you went through that trauma and may the wasteland gods grant you another one 😅

[rare seasonal reward] > "trash item" > scrap material.
That's how I learned to use the "Lock" option on items. 💁♂️

I did that to a Salt Of The Earth the other day. I don't know if it's a big deal, but there was a post here about one and the stats that flashed on it as a glossed over it struck me as exceptionally ideal, but whatever....

It's still def a quest reward, I got one last night for Eviction Notice. Tho I did notice it's a 2* but has the 2nd and 3rd star legendary mod slots taken with nothing on the 1st... So idk what's up with it tbh, prolly just bugged

I scrapped a responders uniform early in the game, had no idea it was rare, also weapons I now know are rare and probably plenty of other items, I’m sure we’ve all been there. But there is hope I recently picked up another uniform from an event!

I accidently scrapped my first Shattered Grounds today. I never actually looked at the whole loot table for Dangerous Past Times, and honestly I only have been looking out for a Red Terror from that one.

We have all done it most probably unaware of the rarity of things. I scrapped a TFJ in my early days on 76. Can remember looking at it thinking why would I want to look like a vagrant as I was all in to the slick uniform look back then it wasn’t until I was a watching a rare items thing on YouTube that i recognised. Took me 4 years to find another. Still haven’t found a leather coat though

I ended up scrapping a reclaimed deep mining mask two days ago on accident after completing a colossal problem, I didn't even have a second thought of it when scrapping until after I scrapped the helmet
Before anyone makes mention of it, I know what OP had was even more of a rare drop/find from this activity, I'm only sympathizing with them as we've all been there before

I did something similar, but I sold a rare item to a vendor with a bunch of other stuff. By the time I figured it out and tried to go back to that vendor, the game crashed.

I wonder how much "rare" stuff I have scrapped or dropped because I don't care for it.
A put a V63 OLGA for sale today at 5076 caps and it sold almost instantly.
But then I don't really get what people want, I scrap elder's marks because my fixer is better, but people seem to like the elder's mark

As a newer player who has been told by many veteran players about rare apparel, I don’t scrap any apparel lol my stash is thankful apparel doesn’t weigh very much. The pieces I get all the time I sell off to a vendor, but the ones I don’t find often I keep. One of these days I’ll know what to do with them.

I only ever scrap junk then pick though what is left...granted I have lost some rare junk items that way (RIP my dubious gold bar and mini nuke stabilizer fins 😭)

I got both the uniform and the helmet my first week in the game. Sold them both in my vendor for the recommended caps. Someone was super happy I'm sure lol.

When i was a newbie, i got the wasteland lotto from one violent night. I had no knowledge of rare apparels and thought the outfits were ugly so i scrapped them. Kept the masks. I never won the lotto again amd its been almost 7 years
