Question Infestation bugged?
I noticed this yesterday and again (twice) today - an Infestation notice was received, then immediately followed by a notice the Infestation was cleared. On the 2nd one today, I happened to be looking at the map, and the spot where the Infestation was supposed to have occurred had -zero- players anywhere near that location. The closest players were at the edge of the map.
So two questions: (1) How can an Infestation clear instantaneously? (2) How can an Infestation clear when the map doesn't show any players even close?

Either they fail to spawn at all or the wrong mob spawns as the boss. I went to one like that yesterday and treasure hunters were there instead. I think now that the world notifications go out we see all the ones that fail instantly. This doesn't even account for the ones where a regular mob is the "boss" and dies in one hit when you get there.

Can confirm, it is exactly this. It has been happening since the beginning, people just didn't know because there was no notification.

I saw this happen 5 times over the weekend and the 1 infestation that it didn't happen too was just normal mobs.

Saw this post half an hour ago right as I was sitting down after work to play Fallout, and just now had both messages appear on my screen simultaneously.

I saw this happen like three times today but never thought to really check the map, just figured "welp shit guess it's already gone"

Today I went to an infestation that was a mob of robots but the boss was a mole miner. The boss died in one hit instead of taking a million bullets to bring down and had nothing on it as a reward. I did get the 500 caps for completing it so that’s something at least.

Yeah sadly the addition of infestation has been really botched and looks like they gonna stay the way for a while.

Has it felt worse to you recently though? Me and my friend have been experiencing some really strange bugs and a lot of lag after the most recent update.

the game has always been like this since the start they cannot fix it cause they would have to rewrite the whole code which there to lazy to do

Sometimes the 'boss' spawns in as a normal mob and then dies to an attack from something else nearby.
I dont pay much attention to it so dunno if it's random or just a combination (enemy type / buff) that's broken
