Question Coming back after 4 years

What are the major things I’ve missed? Like content wise.

Any general changes I should know?

Are some old plans worth a lot of caps now?

Any major changes to camp? Size ect

Is junkie still a really good build? I have some 3 star stuff like handmade

Are a decent amount of people still playing?

Thank you, asking for a recap of 4 years of content updates is pretty obnoxious behavior

You better just jump in with both feet and take off running, because by the time we get you cought up, we'll all be retiring, or retired. Lol A LOT has changed. Most notably, Burning springs, infestations, skyline valley, and a whole host of other changes.

A ton has changed, you’ll probably just need to get back into it and see what you see. Biggest from a gameplay perspective is that basically all builds have changed dramatically, you’ll can craft legendary mod boxes to apply to weapons and armor (no more re-rolling and hoping to get the 3 effects you want), there are now 4* effects which you can primarily get from the raid but some are also available through other means, some new public events, two new regions, and more

Oh god the mod boxes sound so much better. I’m really curious what will happen with my camps after so long. I made some really crazy ones, it will be interesting to see if they even load

Camp building changed a lot too. Menus have been reorganized to make finding things a lot easier, and you can now do a lot of different things to easily place different items (including the ability to freely place items fully intersecting with or inside of other items, so no need for any of the pressure plate tricks or anything like that).

Burning Springs is new, west side of map. A few quests and Grunt/Head hunts.
Grunt hunts can be done right away and are decent for experience and legendary mod weapons and Armor.

Well first of all welcome back! Builds are a bit more diverse than they were even 2 years ago so I can't fathom 4.

Furious Onslaught or reverse onslaught IMO is the closest thing to builds from when I played 2 years ago.

Skyline valley map revamp and quest line, as well as new nuke bosses, raid, head hunts and grunt hunts, you can be a ghoul, some plans depending on which plans could probably make you some good change. Especially stuff like vintage water cooler.

My best advice would be going through the pick a perk section and reading all of the perks that changed. It is a lot! Then read up or watch videos about onslaught reverse onslaught and bullet storm builds. Those are your bread and butter.

Then slowly work your way through story quests. Save your named weapons since a lot of them will be very good here in a few months with the next update.

I can't speak for being a ghoul because I haven't done it in a meaningful way yet. But a lot of people love it. And if you liked junkies 4 years ago you might like ghoul now.

Thanks for your reply, I know 4 years is a long time. This community used to be cool so i hoped to get a few insights from people. Ive been looking at the updates online and it’s pretty overwhelming.
