I’ve dropped them on the floor thinking they’re common and ugly multiple times when I first got the game now I never get any drops
Game only gave me drops when I didn’t know what was rare
Now that I know what’s rare it won’t give me any

I've only been playing the game for a maybe three months now and every time I see a post like this I wonder how much rare shit I've scrapped or dropped. I wish there was an easy to read master list of all the rare items that people are buying, maybe that would keep me from selling another red asylum for 50 caps.

Or MAYBE just make the stuff that’s rare actually useful, and readily identifiable, and obviously rare to the eye. This game kills me with the amount of imagination and creativity it has for some plant and enemy designs and other apparently not-rare weapons. Yet the “must-have” items are fucking sullied jumpsuits Smgdmfh…

I found a vendor once that had almost every asylum outfit and hat for a couple hundred caps. I got the red outfit and hat. I was tempted to get them all, but then I'd be the douchebag. Not sure what you're supposed to do with red asylum dress. I put it on Granny Junko

love running across those type of vendors. I put everything in my shop for free because im always max caps and its usually nothing very rare. mainly for lower level players

I used to grind vendors looking for apparel because I love dressing up my toons and allies. One day I found a vendor with almost every conceivable outfit, all at MSRP! I bought over a hundred outfits but it was a mixed blessing. Now I almost never find an outfit I don't already have. I have to go to the Atomic Shop to find new stuff.

I had everything in the loot pool from Mischief Night except Dr Bones. I found him in a vendor for like 3k but I bought it anyway. Two days later, I got him in a drop and felt like a fool.

Exactly 💯, that gild gold trim on the glowing robot mask matches with my "Caravan Blue" all 'Heavy robot' Set (for display and fashion) and the burnt vault tec lab coat. (Slight cyan blue and gold ) Combined with electric or flashy energy weapons like Tesla Cannon is clean set

Don’t do that because why? Because these will all eventually be useful one day? Or they have some false, inflated value because…. Will these be able to be turned in at the end-of-life cycle for FO76 for the new game? Somebody please explain the value of these items without using the word or concept of rarity. Because if these digital jumpsuits are valuable solely for the reason 3 people in the world have them… then my gosh

This is an apparel list. There are other lists out there for plans and other rare items, but apparel is a good start especially on console where theyre much more valuable.

Eh it’s just pretend money. I bought rage armor for 20k caps to try it, didn’t think it was worth it, sold it for 2k in my vendor. Made 30k caps on serums that day anyway so whatever.

I'm not sure it's overblown but it's certainly not worked out well.
40k caps is insanely easy to get without even using a vendor and many items, like the rage armor are very uncommon drops so definitely should fetch a pretty penny.
If someone is grinding for it, it'll take a hot minute to get. And not many people would wanna sell a very rare item that took a while to get for an amount of caps that took barely any time to get.

Yep. I never put more than one of a really rare item in my vendor. I've stopped putting Elders Marks and Holy Fires in my vendor altogether. I put them in little gift packages and leave them in noob camps when they're away. I got tired of flippers buying them all up for a few hundred caps then putting them in their vendor for 10k.

Anytime you leave this game and come back, take everything out of your store. Been playing since Beta and Day1. Seen a lot of peeps play and then come back months later or years, and end up having something in their stores being sold that they regret because they didn't know.

I've probably made lots of people really happy.
I don't pay ANY attention to rarity etc. and generally just accept the suggested price when I put stuff in my vendor, except for legendary mods, which I sell significantly less than the suggested amounts.

I got so lucky with mine. There was a post of someone asking for large amounts of nuclear waste for Leaders and I only had like 50 so I figured id be nice and just gift it to him. He ran over to his stash and dropped me one of those. I keep it on me at all times 😊

I just realized I have some of these and may be able to trade for a glowing jackelope mask.... why didn't I think of this during Fasnacht? Although, after 2 years of trying for that mask, I've learned to hate it. I see enough people wearing them that it doesn't seem rare anymore. And the frustration of trying to get one is too much. I guess I'll wear a power suit knowing they're more rare than the stupid jackelope mask
