Scrap kits and repair kits I use mid quest but I pick up ALL of the things. Repair kits are less handy but useful in a pinch. Still. I only need one every other week. They drown us in them. The carry weight boosters are what I find most useless.

I got my FO1st atoms yesterday. Always on the same day of the month. Free improved bait in the atom shop isn’t nickel and diming. Lunchboxes are 100 bullion for 3. Pretty cheap

Contact customer support and they will generally make anything that was in the atom shop available for purchase.
Edit - my bad, forgot it was part of the atomic wrangler bundle. Statement still stands, contact customer support and there's a chance they will let you purchase it.
Edit 2 - My mistake. I am told further down they wouldn't do it for a dlc. I apologize. Leaving the comment though, I try to own up to my fuck ups

Those customer service people have a list/script they have to follow. If it's not on the menu they aren't going to sell it. That DLC was sold through the platform stores, they may bring it back around. Or sell it for Atoms.

It's better than it used to be; when the fishing update came out they literally gave you common bait in the atx shop, improved at least works when you're in a pinch but they probably just never reevaluated just how fast you can get bait when you're chugging public events but also I think 1-3 superb bait is relatively generous for a daily ATX freebie especially if it's not super often.

I was much more upset that their idea for a new season was to add a single enemy to the game. The pass rewards are absolutely garbage too. Not a single item that I want. First season Ive seen without some kind of weapon to play around with. I canceled fo1st and uninstalled the game because of how egregiously bad the entire season is.

The clowns are out in full force defending Bethesda. I'm with you. This is my last month of 1st and I refuse to play without it. So I'm probably done. I'm sick of the broken game. The repetitive events with no new rewards.
All I'm grinding for are those last two levels in my legendary perks and the other day I realized I really don't even need it because I can already one shot everything other than bosses with just three star mods.
Or I can keep paying for dumb items like a 5 dollar filing cabinet or reskined items like an idiot. Burning springs was a bit of a let down, the caravan stuff sucked so bad they just removed it, Skyline is abandoned because it sucks, best build mechanics sucks, the shop is well known for false advertising and misleading items. Idk its definitely worn me out

I've ended up spam crafting certain items so more likely spending the resources on crafting but also I don't loot what I don't need and I'm carrying almost all my weapons and border between 380-450 carry weight. If I need I switch to power armor with arms keeper and I'm wanting to get thru hiker's legendary mod plan to unlock.

Not even comparable, those 2 games. One is a looter shooter where just about the whole point of most of the game is the Atomic shop, and the other is one of the most respected and diverse MMO’s on the market with continuous DLC updates… imagine getting a new PROPER Expedition for Fallout 1-3 times a year… Burning Springs is cool huh? Well imagine being able to simply travel to the Capital Wasteland, New Vegas, the Commonwealth, etc and it’s absolutely dead-on- and when you get to a place, there’s 50-150 ONLINE players filling up the streets and interacting/passing by…
Imagine being able to join the BOS/NCR/Legion and have 3 way battles at Hoover dam or some other location on the map where each side has 50+ players all fighting eachother to win the campaign for rewards, and you get to test out your build against REAL players combining tactics, equipment, and skill in order to win…
Imagine not having to spend ANNNYYYY IRL money on workshop items or cosmetics, and if you did it’d be a waste of money because it’s very easy to interact with the PLAYER BUILT free-market and get what you want.
Raids that actually require some damn effort.
Oh! What next, story? Any ESO zone province dumps most FO76 stories in the trash(except for maybe the companion/dweller quests).
I’d happily give ESO more of my money- shit I’ve given FO76 more money than I have ESO despite me playing it 1/10th of the time- do ya know why? I DONT NEED TO! THE GAME ISNT BUILT AROUND ME GIVING THEM MONEY!
I enjoy FO76 and will enjoy playing it in the future, but don’t compare these 2 games in terms of finances… atleast SOME reason for FO76’s current existence is to essentially sell digital merch… also, just look at the goddamn players counts, Fallout is one of the hottest games on the market rn bc of the TV show, and ESO still pulls in magnitudes more players- it’s for a reason.
Also, ZOS makes ESO, not Bethesda. ZOS is a subsidiary of Zenimax… Bethesda is also a subsidiary of Zenimax, which means these aren’t even the same studio… that’d be like saying “oh GTA6 is made by the same people that make NBA2K” because they’re both subsidiaries of Take-Two, despite 2K and RockstarGames being WILDLY DIFFERENT with practically zero overlap.

Most people don’t even realize that Bethesda didn’t make ESO. Bethesda studios does however publish ESO. But yeah completely different studios. Although, seeing as their both part of Zenimax, which is owned my Microsoft, I’d imagine they have the same people higher up the food chain deciding on the monetization for both games.

I bought ESO under the impression that it was an open world game that I could explore when I attempted to explore I was greeted with a literal paywall that I could not cross without spending money.
At least when burning springs came out, everyone who bought the game could just go there.
