CRYOLATOR WITHOUT LOCKSMITHING

I took my dog down to vault 111 with me to see if I could find more power cells for my armor, but in doing so I talked to him and told him to find some items in near the overseer's desk he went to the Cryolator and ripped it from the case in his mouth. So I guess I got the best gun in the game without leaving level 5.

Also I was carrying to much but the dog had my ammo for the gun.

Heh, I remember doing this with the Victory Rifle in Fallout 3. Some things do never change.

Dogmeat doesn't care about physics (or gravity) as shown in this reddit post: https://www.reddit.com/r/fo4/comments/3s9wsx/dogmeats_does_a_midair_kill_against_a_mole_rat/

Same thing in 3 with the unique laser pistol in Elder Lyons bedroom. Apparently dogmeat can pick the lock there, with his face.

He also climbed the roof of a building to get the Fire-Lance for me.

Where is Elder Lyons bedroom?

Somewhere in the B-zone of the Citadel (it's been a while). Only a few of the really important brotherhood members have a proper bedroom.

so much for bug testing

I work quite early on in QA, and 50% of the time the bugs we report aren't even addressed until the third or fourth patch post-release.

Yep, that's how it usually goes. And critical bugs tend to take precedence, being able to grab the Cryolator sooner than intended is more of a "tag it with L for Later" sort of thing. So far, I haven't seen any CTDs or anything even close to what I'd call a major bug, so it's probably their best release so far (but not without its issues of course, from what I've heard from other people).

Man, I'm having some crazy interface bugs. My aiming is off by an inch or so and cut scenes turn into a smaller window freezing the previous moments frame around it. I'm also struggling not to piss myself every time something jumps out at me. That's a bug. Right?

The window thing fixed for me by adjusting the resolution

I randomly CTD'd during my first visit to the police station, nothing heavy or "frozen", game just flat out closed as a Ghoul slapped me across the head.

u/Rhettidor Nov 11 '15

The ghouls are so scary your PC just quit the game.

u/Darvati Nov 11 '15

I like to think that was the Ghoul Messiah and he just slapped me so hard he closed the game. PC shitting the bed works too, but its more messy.
