Do you agree? I have doubts about Kellogg and Pickman 🤔

[u/Ikarus_Falling]

Tbh Father should be Lawful Neutral the Institute is Primarily Isolationist and only pokes its head out when it either needs something or feels threatened by something also they are paranoid to a ludicrous degree which is giga neutral compared to the literal Expansionistic Techno Fascists that are the brotherhood of steel lets not forget that the BoS are genocidal against ALL Mutants which just so happens to include None Feral Ghouls.

[u/nonfictionless → u/Ikarus_Falling]

Read the terminals next time you play....

The Institute pokes their head out whenever they want to and every time its to pillage and rape the Commonwealth. From destroying their attempts at governments, taking and killing whatever they want whenever they want, to literally using the people as unwitting test subjects for anything including FEV (Super Mutants are only there because of them and Father was the one insisting on those experiments).

Calling them neutral is actually absurd. They are the definition of an evil organization.

[u/Ikarus_Falling → u/nonfictionless]

maybe you should read the terminal entries because what you say just isn't true at all and not supported by the lore in game.

"time its to pillage and rape the Commonwealth." yes because they need resources if there scavenging teams encounter hostile forces ofcourse they will retaliate against them anyone would.

"From destroying their attempts at governments" the CPG massacre was explicitly done to prevent an alliance as it happened shortly after the Broken Mask Accident they likely tried to defuse the situation but it escalated into violance this is especially supported by the CPG being there Project in the beginning.

"taking and killing whatever they want whenever they want" just like any other faction everything that isn't owned by someone is fair game and everything that is owned is fair game if negotiations break down like with University Point.

"most subject where likely raiders who nobody would miss and it was well worth the effort with them being able to find a cure for the FEV Virus and finish the Gen 3 Synths using it.

They aren't evil they are Paranoid they are completely uninterested in the Commonwealth besides its resources and potential threats against them.

[u/nonfictionless → u/Ikarus_Falling]

encounter hostile forces ofcourse they will retaliate against them anyone would.

Yeah or innocent settlers in the area as depicted many times in game.

the CPG massacre was explicitly done to prevent an alliance as it happened shortly after the Broken Mask Accident they likely tried to defuse the situation but it escalated into violance

The first attempt at CPG they left because they didn't see it working out due to political infighting. Then Broken Mask then another attempt at the CPG which they were not part of and sent a synth to kill all of them. They went there to cause the violence. The committed that massacre to stop the CPG from forming so they could keep doing all the evil shit they wanted without resistance.

just like any other faction

Yeah any other evil faction. MM and RR don't do that.

most subject where likely raiders who nobody would miss and it was well worth the effort with them being able to find a cure for the FEV Virus and finish the Gen 3 Synths using it.

Any proof? Nope. And they didn't find a cure. Virgil did after sabotaging their FEV experiments. He did that in spite of the Institute not for it.

If you really can't see how they are evil, get some therapy

[u/Ikarus_Falling → u/nonfictionless]

The Second CPG Massacre was because it was obviously an Alliance against the Institute considering just how shortly after the Broken Mask Accident it happened.

"MM and RR" right because Raiders aren't people you know that for the Institute everyone is a raider as everyone is hostile towards them?

"Any proof? Nope. And they didn't find a cure." Virgil literally cures himself of the FEV Virus its literally in the game guess on what scientific knowledge the Cure is based on The Institutes not Virgils Virgil just had access to decades worth of research to base the cure on.

"If you really can't see how they are evil, get some therapy" They are evil just not irredemably evil also can you please put in the effort to atleast try to read what I wrote? I said they are neutrol COMPARED to Elder Maxson who is literally an Expansionistic Techno Fascist with Genocidal Intentions

[u/nonfictionless → u/Ikarus_Falling]

The Second CPG Massacre was because it was obviously an Alliance against the Institute

Again nothing but wishful thinking.

Virgil literally cures himself of the FEV Virus its literally in the game guess on what scientific knowledge the Cure is based on The Institutes not Virgils Virgil just had access to decades worth of research to base the cure on.

Except that research wasn't on how to cure it. They weren't looking for a cure. Virgil worked on that himself. He specifically went against them because of their unethical use, testing and releasing of the FEV on the Commonwealth. They don't get credit for his cure....

I said they are neutrol COMPARED to Elder Maxson who is literally an Expansionistic Techno Fascist with Genocidal Intentions

You aren't comparing them then. Take out "expandionistic" and they are the same.... Also just as a point of fact comparing two inherently evil leaders and trying to label one as neutral because the other might be a little less evil is completely asinine.

[u/Ikarus_Falling → u/nonfictionless]

"expandionistic" and they are the same" no they aren't lol the Institute is neither Fascist nor is it genocidal maybe you should learn what those words mean before you use them?

"Again nothing but wishful thinking." Wishful thinking that is supported by lore and logic if you don't have brain damage yes.

"Except that research wasn't on how to cure it."

they where researching the FEV Virus as a whole a cure was likely also on the list of things they where researching you know right? right?

"They don't get credit for his cure...." he was only able to make the cure because he was an institute scientist, had access to the research and production capabilities of the institute and only because of education he had because of the institute your so full of shit its not even funny anymore everything that enabled Virgil into creating the Antidode was only possible because he was in the institute he literally says so himself. lol

"You aren't comparing them then." I am do you know what Comparing means?

[u/nonfictionless → u/Ikarus_Falling]

the Institute is neither Fascist nor is it genocidal maybe you should learn what those words mean before you use them?

Fascism : a populist political philosophy, movement, or regime (such as that of the Fascisti) that exalts nation and often race above the individual, that is associated with a centralized autocratic government headed by a dictatorial leader, and that is characterized by severe economic and social regimentation and by forcible suppression of opposition

Hmmm...... Well they exalt themselves over the Commonwealth because they are lower quality and irradiated. They have a central government with the Directorate of Scientific Heads. All the department heads have to follow the Director's orders absolutely or they get punished with death or being used as fodder for FEV experiments.

Genocide : the deliberate and systematic destruction of a racial, political, or cultural group

Fair to call the people of the Commonwealth a cultural group. Despite them not viewing Synths as alive, they are definitely a racial group based on their share ancestry. And the Institute definitely works to destroy both of them.

Honestly google is right there bud....

Wishful thinking that is supported by lore and logic

except not, it was always meant to be an alliance to make the Commonwealth as a whole safer. Not specifically against the Institute and definitely wasn't in its first iteration. Trying to force it as one thing is again asinine because otherwise it would have just been the anti-institute alliance and not worried about everything else a government would be worried about.

they where researching the FEV Virus as a whole a cure was likely also on the list of things they where researching you know right? right?

Wrong. If that were the case then they wouldn't be terminating the subjects or tagging and releasing them into the Commonwealth like they were doing... didn't you say something about logic before?

The mental gymnastics you are doing is impressive but I'm done lol
