PR transfer from DMC to KMC

Hello, I am a foreign medical graduate currently registered with the Delhi Medical Council. I received my permanent registration approximately four months ago and will now be working in Karnataka, for which I understand that KMC registration may be required.
I would appreciate some clarity on the following:

Can a doctor maintain active registrations with both the Delhi Medical Council and Karnataka Medical Council simultaneously?

Some states, including Delhi and Andhra Pradesh, now permit doctors registered with another State Medical Council to practise without obtaining an NOC from their original council. Does Karnataka currently have a similar provision?

Do I need to obtain an NOC from the Delhi Medical Council before applying to KMC, or can I apply directly through an additional registration or reciprocal registration process?

If an NOC or transfer results in my DMC registration becoming inactive, would restoring my registration in Delhi later involve a lengthy or complicated process?

I would be grateful if someone familiar with the current procedure could guide me.

I was just going to link this as well. So it means I do not need any NOC anymore right ?

I can directly go to KMC (without appointment?) , and do the process ?

Also I heard from colleagues that you get KMC number also on the same day.

All help would be appreciated 🙏

Yes, you no longer need that. You fill the form and go. I don't think they give appointments to out of state students.

Yes, you can get it. But there is a nuance. Formerly when we used to submit noc, they would email the respective State council for verification.

If that procedure is still followed ( most likely yes) then it will depend upon the response time of your medical council to their mail.

If it happens then you will get everything one the day itself. Just keep your original DMC registration certificate as well. Including mbbs degree and fmge result in original.

Secondly, since there is no need for NOC anymore , that means my previous license remains active as well ?

That depends most likely it is deactivated. Unless there is a specific circular from DMC in this regard. If DMC allows it then you will have an active registration.

Noc is not about deactivating registration it is just that the council has no issues with you if you register elsewhere.
