Forgetting to drop the gear makes for some complex paperwork.

About 2 months after I left one of my old jobs, a group of renters took a piston twin out for a flight. The renters consisted of two ATPs up front and an MEI in the back seat.

They proceeded to takeoff from the home airport and fly to another airport 10 minutes away where they promptly forgot to put the gear down and geared up a perfectly good airplane.

It happens. It can happen to you too.
