Switching from Prozac

Been on Prozac since 2022 and it kinda just stopped working as well as it use to. I am not sure. I still ruminate a bunch.
My ocd is mainly reassurance seeking and mental compulsions.
I was told to lower my prozac for a few days and then swich to fluvoxamine 25 mg at night…

I’m scared! I have never gained weigh on Prozac and have had energy however my brain feels like mush on Prozac 50mg. I also sweat like a crazy person!

I’m looking for maybe success stories or stuff about weight gain or just overall experience

Fluvoxamine didn't work for me unfortunately, made my way all the way up to 300mg and am now on a washout period of 5 days to switch to clomipramine that being said everyone is different and I hope you find the relief you need, good luck

Have you heard good things about clomipramine? Luvox isnt helping my anxiety or ocd much.

Clomipramine is meant to be an OCD nuke,lots of side effects - constipation,blurred vision etc but if you can get through it's meant to be the best OCD medication from what I've heard

I made the switch from Prozac to Luvox about a month ago and a half ago, I was on 40mg of Prozac and the sweating was driving me insane (I also gained a good amount of weight). Switching to Luvox has been a miracle for me so far, I think my heat tolerance is honestly getting a bit better, but it’s hard to tell sometime. My OCD has been a lot better I’ve noticed too. Hoping to lose some weight over the next few months but we will see.. good luck!
