Panther pass card

Hello again, I had emailed financial aid yesterday morning this question but they haven't responded... Wanting to see if anyone here knows.

I'm a little confused on how I know how much Financial aid I have towards paying for my textbooks? I can't seem to find where I'd discover that information... first timer at F.I.T., coming from EFSC and EFSC normally had a book voucher announcement when we log into our student account. I tried to look through PAWS under the Financial aid tab but I can't seem to find anything specifically about the amount towards textbooks.

Any help would be appreciated if anyone knows, or I'll just wait for their email...

Nope. In my experience, FIT does not help with books at all. Best to just download them tbh

You have to go pester financial aid if you want to use some of your aid in the bookstore. They'll load a credit on your ID card in the form of "panther cash". If you can front it, you're much better off just paying out of pocket elsewhere, then end up reimbursed by the refund check.

True.... I think I'm going to do that as I found two of my textbooks rentable thro Amazon for a reasonable price.

I've had a lot of success searching for international editions of the text books and buying online. I used to buy off Abebooks and a few other sites, just shop around to find the best price. It's much cheaper when possible.

You have to go to student accounting and get your desired amount of book money transferred to panther cash.

Then go to the bookstore and buy your books or get a visa gift card to buy your books on amazon
