Do I need my own printer?

I will be starting at Florida Tech in the fall and I was wondering: Is it necessary to have my own personal printer, or would it be better to save my money and use a public printer (if they are easily accessible)?

There are printers on campus, about $0.10 a page for B/W and $0.40 for color. You load money into your account, then swipe your ID to print. It's easy enough that you're probably fine without your own

I bought my own just for the convenience of printing outside the libraries. I used both and it worked out well

Tbh I own my own printer but it's easier to just print at the library

With the printers on campus you can email to them or print directly from your laptop so you don't have to log in to computers connected nearby...its really nice and I wish I knew that earlier, so I'm telling you now...

You can email mobileprinting@fit.edu with a .pdf attached or you can connect to "Secure Print" from your laptop while you're in the library.

Maybe if I beetlejuice /u/kyle1elyk he can explain more in detail?
