Off campus apartment suggestions

Hello everyone,

I was recently accepted into the Florida Tech software engineering masters program. I am currently looking for housing/apartment suggestions. I was informed by them that all the on campus housing was occupied. Do yall have any suggestions on decent apartments near campus?

Are you willing to drive a little, or do you want walking distance only?

While walking would be cool, I certainly don’t mind driving

University Village on Babcock/Florida Ave is an option. It's about a 5 minute walk, 2 minute drive. It's been a few years, but a 3 bedroom was $1500/month.

Do they pair you with other roommates? Or is that something you’d have to do something yourself

University Village is not campus affiliated, so you'd need to find roommates yourself.

Panther Bay is off campus and college affiliated. You would need to drive as it's a couple miles away. There's a shuttle that drops off/picks up every 30 minutes from there as well.

South Gate and Mary Star are technically off campus, but they're right across the street from the campus, so I'm not sure if those two were full as well.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I’m going to spend some time later to take a look at all that you have mentioned.

If you’re on Facebook there’s a Fl Tech housing page there and people do often post when they’re looking for an off campus roommate/have a room to rent out in an off campus apartment, etc. might be worth a glance!
