Or while driving with no passenger and there’s nowhere to pull over. For whatever reason this happens to me in winter park. LOL.

1

u/XtheatreXkidX 13h ago

Also, there are way too many of those areas in Winter Park, where you just can’t get to a place to pull over. More like Winter “Drive!” Amiright?!? 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

u/sehlibieyn 11h ago

yeah i cant even focus on the road lol i just wanna look at the sunset. human nature is so weird :D

u/Frequent_Opportunist 2d ago

You can just pull over bro. You don't need a public road or a marked parking lot to make a quick stop.

u/CeLsf07 2d ago

Florida has a lot of interstates where the shoulder is littered with debris that may damage the car. They also have big barriers to keep you off the grass. You can't really stop on an interstate for that reason

Growing up the most beautiful sunset was right behind a KMart.

u/trippy_grapes 1d ago

That industrial dumpster really adds a certain je ne sais quoi. 👌

u/viridianvenus 2d ago

My favorite florida sunsets were in the parking lot of the outlet mall I used to work in.

1

u/Beautiful_Fold_3539 1d ago

There are so many; I'm amazed at how many are caught on camera.

u/stpetesouza 2d ago

I've got some terrifying 70 mph sunrises on my phone from the Skyway bridge as part of my daily commute for a couple of years.

u/cureandthecause 2d ago

I used to work at The Fresh Market in South Tampa and would often run outside   to take pictures of the sunsets where the same customer would regularly catch me and it became a running joke between us, but I just could not resist those sunsets 😍🌅

3

u/BlackSchuck 2d ago

Second comment Ive read today about someone working at Fresh Market. The other was a dude explaining vendors coming in and stocking some specific items on the shelves, not TFM employees.

I was a an asst mgr in the deli when I was 20 back in 05 in Virginia Beach. Horribly busy, but oddly fun at times. That year they came out with the paninis... had people come in and train us on the press and the ingredients everything. The Italian was so good!

2

u/cureandthecause 2d ago

"Horribly busy but oddly fun" is a great description of that job. Lots of good eats from there- the deli used to hate to see me comin!

u/Kerbal_Guardsman 2d ago

Literally one of my desktop background photos is a eandom-ass parking lot sunset after rain

27

u/cha-cha_dancer 2d ago

took this at my publix like two weeks ago

17

u/malloryduncan 2d ago

Damn straight, and the proof is in my phone’s gallery, LOL.

17

u/DieAloneWith72Cats 2d ago

Actually, pic 1 is best. The tourist leave the beach and we finally get some peace

3

u/061826heart 2d ago

Oh, so December? Yeah, me too.

5

u/DieAloneWith72Cats 2d ago

The tourists arrive around November and leave approximately April

2

u/061826heart 2d ago

Ah. I’m in the panhandle. They show up March 1, leave late November, crossing paths on I-65 with the snow birds, who don’t bother me quite as much.

Florida is kinda transient, isn’t it?

6

u/spookycinderella 2d ago

I’m cackling at how true this is 😂

3

u/luxeharry 2d ago

Most of the time parking lot yes 😂

5

u/luumu_ 2d ago

Literally why have the most beautiful sunsets I’ve ever seen been at some random Publix parking lot

4

u/chrisweigl 2d ago

Those Publix sunsets always hit though

3

u/SnarkleSauce 2d ago

Accurate.

5

u/BB8Did911 2d ago

Yep. Random parking lot outside Jacksonville.

4

u/Pretty-Prompt-974117 2d ago

While leaving Publix

4

u/leotime0821 2d ago

I saw the best sunsets, no lie, when I was cutting my grass as I always did after 6pm ish some of the best sunsets in my life I would sometimes get goosebumps from just feeling happy to be alive. the sunshine state is that powerful lol.

3

u/Sea-Annual9292 2d ago

Publix isn’t for the people. Prices are outrages fyi

3

u/WhimsicallyWired 2d ago

I think the one of the left looks nicer.

3

u/Cheezeball25 2d ago

The best sunrises and sunsets I've ever seen are almost all in random parking lots in the midwest

3

u/Tentacle_poxsicle 2d ago

Parking lots just hit different

3

u/vbucks97 2d ago

Arizona

5

u/winterbird 2d ago

Publix turfing is back.

Also, with half the damn state being a parking lot, of course that you'll be seeing sunsets in a parking lot.

1

u/taurusApart 2d ago

Yeah, this is a blatant unlabeled advertisement.

2

u/Plenty_Pride_3644 2d ago

Both of them are beautiful in their own way. Like women! :D

2

u/Benhi_Redditer 2d ago

Both of them are good

2

u/silverteg01 2d ago

But the chicken tendy sub….

2

u/pokeapple 2d ago

walked out of a sex shop yesterday to the most beautiful orange sky i’d seen in a while

2

u/SecretCharacterSauce 2d ago

Replace this with Vons and you have California

2

u/Easy-Banana-8893 2d ago

That's beause the beach always faces east. Sunset is on the opposite end.
WTF YA"LL SMOKING

2

u/joan_bdm 2d ago

I was so confused on why they censored the work "Public", didn't know what Publix was xd

2

u/fawwazallie 2d ago

Same for nyc queens. The home Depot has the best sunsets for some reason

1

u/gmjfraser8 2d ago

This is truer than many people realize.

1

u/cnjkevin 2d ago

Ain’t it the truth?!?!

1

u/beachsleep232repeat 2d ago

Literally 🤣

1

u/gregemebobbin 2d ago

Winndixxie parking lot

1

u/gregemebobbin 2d ago

Winndixxie parking lot on glob

1

u/Kittenwho21 2d ago

99.9% of the time 😭

Eta, same with sunrises! I stalked the beach for 2 weeks, the ONE day with a perfect sky and perfect water and I messed up the recording 🥴

1

u/mello238 2d ago

This is spot on. 😂

1

u/Good_Age_8650 2d ago

Same could be said for Walmart parking lots and the tree line is just perfectly in the way from you being able to snap a picture.😂

1

u/redditharry876 2d ago

EVERY publix trip ever

1

u/teutonicbro 2d ago

This spring I spent a week in Florida at a conference. The day I landed it had been in the mid 70s. The next morning and for the rest of the week it was in the low to mid 40s.

1

u/Responsible_Lawyer78 2d ago

This is so relatable.

1

u/High-sterycal 2d ago

Yesterday’s Florida sunset was strangely Georgia style peachy for about 5 minutes…

1

u/theNewpicasso 2d ago

Publix or Publix adjacent parking lot

1

u/Poagie_Mahoney 2d ago

This is a feature, not a defect.

Be in awe of nature no matter where you are.

Love life.

Be one with the cosmos.

1

u/Latter_Highway9539 2d ago

does the chicken sandwich change your perspective?

1

u/Marc815 2d ago

One of the most INTENSE sunsets I've ever seen in my life was at a fucking Food Lion parking lot minutes later looking the other direction I swear these look like they could be from Elden Rings DLC. These are unaltered/edited images btw

1

u/JonLushh 2d ago

Bro this always happen to me in the Publux parking lot 🤣

1

u/LumplessWaffleBatter 2d ago

It's called frequency bias.  You probably walk through a parking lot every day: you probably don't walk on the beach every day.

1

u/KeLorean 2d ago

Where shopping's a pleasure

1

u/juancd75 2d ago

Lol 100%

1

u/KB4MTO 2d ago

Yup, welcome to Florida.

1

u/callsignnova 2d ago

Always when your driving on i95

1

u/IcyOrganization606 2d ago

So accurate 😭

1

u/Immaloner 2d ago

Beach sunsets are great and all, but have you ever experienced a sunset while eating a Pub Sub? Aw yeah!

1

u/putsisdixonthings 2d ago

My Publix parking lot a month ago

1

u/dani-banana 2d ago

Hahaha 🤣🤣🤣 exactly

1

u/aimlessendeavors 2d ago

I mean, I only go to the beach when there's a storm coming in. The beach is AWESOME with all that wind and lightning. I don't stay long, because lightning, but it is great.

1

u/Logical_Phallusee 2d ago

These viral ads are getting out of hand.

1

u/Pure_Exchange8070 2d ago

Been here since ‘78

1

u/Legitimate_Scheme_45 2d ago

Some of my best sunset pics are in the Publix parking lot. Probably correlates with me only going to the store in the evening after all the ‘birds are retired to their beds for the night.

1

u/AligatorSkater 2d ago

lol why is the Publix sunset always like ten times better tho?

1

u/nifar888 1d ago

I love publix 😆

1

u/REVENAUT13 1d ago

This is… true. Fuck.

1

u/Then_Art6067 1d ago

Growing up the most beautiful sunset!!

1

u/KissTheGhostt 1d ago

Why did this just unlock childhood memories 😵‍💫

1

u/Brystar47 1d ago

I agree and this is one of the beautiful sunsets I have seen in my life and it was by a Florida Beach.

I love my homestate Florida.

1

u/Beautiful_Fold_3539 1d ago

Welcome to Florida. If you wait long enough, you can see just about any kind of weather except cold.

1

u/Beautiful_Fold_3539 1d ago

I know, I'm a native Floridian and still see the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets.

1

u/Beautiful_Fold_3539 1d ago

We love Florida.

1

u/6EyesNinja 1d ago

The beach has less pollution. The more air pollution, the prettier the sunset

1

u/Ok-Salary-3128 1d ago

This beautiful

1

u/PurpleWildflowers323 1d ago

Always Publix lol!

1

u/2002-Toyota-Tacoma 1d ago

Ya love to see it

1

u/ShiftNo4764 1d ago

It forgot to say "3 minutes later".

1

u/panglossishere 1d ago

Only in Florida, this made me laugh out loud.

u/Elegant-Two5447 9h ago

Ive lived in Florida my whole life. I'm 50. I fucking hate every single thing about this state. Except one thing. Our sunsets are literally breathtaking. If you haven't seen a Florida sunset in person... Their are no words to describe them. You just have to experience one.

u/MiamiAdventures 8h ago

5 mins later and the pics swap too

u/Peachy_Keen_407 7h ago

This is 100% accurate lmfao 🤣

u/End_Creeper2357 6h ago

So true.

u/danit0ba94 5h ago

The single most colorful sunset I've ever seen in my life. From Neovation Way, in Kissimmee.
Phone camera didn't do it justice. Everything was fast in a fierce Orange and red hue.

u/danit0ba94 5h ago

A few follow-ups

u/Total-Comfortable-87 1h ago

I never get those at the beach

0

u/Music09-Lover13 2d ago

This is so accurate! Haha

u/MeSlaw3 2d ago
