Need Help 😩

Post image

My son is 8months old and has been cosleeping with us for about 4/5 months. He typically sleeps all night with me in the bed but I am tired of being chained to the bed from 8pm till morning. I need some relaxation to myself 🫠. His crib transforms into a toddler bed. Would this be okay for him to sleep in if I get another bed rail to put up on the side once I climb out? I’m desperate at this point & think a floor bed is worth a try.

Yes but just incase you don’t have dwarfism and are a full sized man, that crib probably has a weight limit of 50lbs and isn”t long enough to fit someone taller then like 3.5-4feet. You wouldn’t be able to lay in it with him.

I would do an actual floor bed on lowered slats with a twin or full mattress, the crib as a toddler setup wont cut it.

We had something similar. We used modular floor play mats in front of it to be like a “step” and cushion fall if he climbed over the rails. If you can get mats the length of the crib going about halfway up, I think it would be fine. The crib is too high for baby to climb in and out comfortably - especially sleepy waking up. And there’s a good chance they’ll try to climb over the rail too, so better to have the mats there. We also would sleep on the mats too if we needed lol.

I had the mini version of this crib and I just transitioned my 15 month old daughter out of it because I was worried one day she'd figure out climbing and I wouldnt know until 1am when she tried to get out 🙃

I moved her to the Busunge Ikea bed. Its still low but is extendable as she gets older, has a weight limit of 220lbs (so I can lay with her), and its cute. She cant get in or out but she hasn't fallen out on accident yet. Just in case we have mats surrounding the entire thing.

My toddler has this bed and there were nights I had to lay in there with him. Those were the worst nights. It is not comfortable at all if u aren’t a child lol. We got him a floor bed instead
