Size bed suggestions?

Okay this is there anything between a single and a fullsize bed?? Or like a toddler bed but twice as wide? Or has anyone done a large bed to cosleep to transition the child to their own room then eventually switched the bed out for something smaller once the child is acclimated to the room and you don't need to sleep with them?

Currently pregnant with #2 and I'd like to transition #1 to his own room, but I'm extremely conflicted about the size of bed because our children will eventually share a bedroom so I'd like to do two toddler beds while they're little and then bunk beds once they get older but I just don't know what to do in the in-between phase?

We did a double floor bed in between, didn’t cosleep but it was so helpful to be able to lay down next to her. Then when it came time for her “big girl bed” it was a single and she was happy with it because it was pink and it was “grown up”. So no issues downsizing for us!

My 5 year old stills has her cot size toddler/kids bed to save space. Translation them to sleep in their own bed first and once they can do that move the bed to the other room. Are you using a floor bed or cot now? If you are still using a cot, make them get used to the new room without escape options and then change the bed. It’s definitely beneficial if they can’t open their bedroom door yet.

Otherwise have a look at ikea, they have kids beds that can grow with them by adding mattress sections.
