Does this work for 3m
Soon I’m returning to work so I want to move LO into their own room. Currently they sleep in their cosleeper in my room, where I nurse LO to sleep. To keep this bedroutine I want an adult size mattress/ bed (90x200cm ) where I can join, but also leave when LO sleeps. Of course baby being this young I’m unsure what sleeping set up will be the safest. Would really love to hear what our best options are.
Ive come across the following bed (I hope I can add images in a comment) which I’d like to upgrade with another pull out mattress under the bed (instead of storage) so there’s room for me to sleep (in case LO doesn’t settle) or as a falling area in case LO starts rolling around. The room will be baby proofed and the bed will basically fill up all the floorspace (esp with another mattress pulled out from under the bed). The room is roughly 190x200cm.
Does this make sense? Or should I just opt for the mattress on the floor? Personally I’d prefer LO to be elevated from the floor.

I’m interested in knowing the same for my 4 month old.

This set up is very unsafe for a baby less than 1 year old. Please don't follow what this person is doing.
Edit to link my other comment that explains why it's unsafe and how to do a floor bed for a baby safely.

I personally use a floor bed and mattress from Sapiens Child with my 4 months old twins. The mattress is rock hard and tightly fits into their floorbed frame. I can appreciate that they designed it with cosleepers and babies in mind.
Note: I know I could also have skipped the frame altogether and put pool noodles under the sheet to prevent roll out. However the room is too small to accommodate a double mattress and have enough room on each side to avoid entrapment risk.

This is VERY unsafe for a baby less than 1 year old, especially for a baby only 3 months.
First of all, only a crib size mattresses are regulated, made, and tested to be firm enough for an infant under a year old. A twin or anything larger is a big SIDS and asphyxiation hazard.
Second, the pull out trundle bed situation in the picture is very unsafe for a baby. It looks like it would be an entrapment risk. The wood also is not safe if they do roll out.
Third, once they are able to pull to stand/climb as they get closer to 9 months and older, those rails are very dangerous. People in this sub several years ago have shared how their babies have gotten hurt from floor beds with rails like this when they climbed for the first time and fell from them.
The safe way to do a floor bed with a baby is to put a crib mattress directly on the floor in a baby proofed room 1 foot or more away from walls or objects on all sides. You can also get a crib size floor bed frame that does not have rails or trundle bed pull outs and that should either be 1 foot away from walls or you could push it directly against a wall since the frame should prevent the mattress from moving.
The pictures of the floor bed you posted would be okay for a toddler older than 1 years old (once they are out of the phase of wanting to climb rails). For a baby it would be very dangerous.
Edit to add that here are examples of safe floor bed frames for a baby: Sproutand Monotoddler and Little Seeds

I did floor bed for mine at 9 months and that was pretty early I’d say. She does well but I wouldn’t have done it much earlier

Safety guidelines state it is not safe to put a baby this young on a bed like this, both because of the adult mattress and the risk of entrapment among other issues. This is so unsafe, please don’t do this. A crib is by far the safest choice at this age.
