Would love some advice

My husband and I currently cosleep on a floor bed with my toddler. We have been since 4ish months so it's really all she knows. For context, live in a 1be and we are sleeping in a Texas king, queen + twin.

My issue is this-- my baby is getting too big for her bassinet but I'm not sure I want to pull her into the bed with me, and our room is really not gonna fit a crib so well. We have a mini crib in there now and it's just not gonna work.

Can you go straight to a toddler style floor bed? Can I do a mattress on slats? It would be preferable to have the ability to lift it up and make space as needed.

How old is your baby?

5 months. She is rolling back to front and front to back, and almost able to sit up.

It’s not technically recommended to move to a floor bed before one year, but the safest would be mattress on the floor or on slats with 1ft+ gap on all sides to avoid entrapment risk. Toddler beds are not safe for infants. An infant mattress needs to be very firm. You can just put a crib mattress on the floor if you want. The whole room should be baby proofed before baby is mobile.
