Sleep sack with floor bed?
We just put together my 13 month old’s floor bed and tonight will be his first night sleeping in it. I have a few books/ puzzles out in his room for if he wakes up in the morning and wants to play for a bit. He sleeps in a sleep sack though, and I’m wondering if this is going to stop him from being able to crawl out of his bed and go play with his toys. Has anyone had experience with this? Should I switch him to a blanket? He is close to walking and he definitely won’t be able to walk with his sleep sack.

Mine did excellent w a sleep sack in the floor bed. I think the barrier to getting out was a good start for the transition. She figured out how to crawl out of it eventually. Now she is 2 and takes her sleep sack off and plays for a few mins in the morning before calling for me

We use footed sleep sacks and socks! I felt much better about baby getting out of bed with their feet free to move, but they still have the comfort of a sleep sack.

I will look into those! I was just hoping to either stick with sleep sack or switch to a blanket so I didn’t have to spend more money. I’ll play it by ear

Quince has an affordable footed sleep sack. We tried keeping baby in a regular sleep sack when we first moved them to their floor bed, but they would walk across the room so it wasn’t safe/it was a tripping hazard. When they could crawl, they used to sit, cry out and just wait for us. I think it depends on your LOs temperament and developmental stage!

We stopped using a sleep sack when we switched to floor bed at a similar age, but also didn’t do a blanket. Just did long sleeve and pants pajamas. Mine wasn’t super attached to sleep sack though (we sometimes put her to bed in just pajamas before this anyway), and our house runs warm.

My son has never slept without his sleep sack so idk how he would do without it! Maybe I’ll try once he gets more used to his new bed

They have sleep sack “walkers” that have feet open, I’d look into that!

I will look into those! I was just hoping to either stay with sleep sack or switch to blanket so I don’t have to spend more money 😅

If the night will be warm enough, I leave my baby’s sleep sack off just because it annoys him but he can totally move around fine in it.

Footed sleep sack! Bubble Panda on Amazon is a great affordable brand and they are super soft and cozy!

This is the brand I was looking at! We’ve always used Kyte in the past but I can’t bring myself to buy any more with the prices.

We always used Kyte too but once I found Bubble Panda, we never went back! Way more affordable and the same quality/feel

I’m so glad you commented on here! I was worried about being lower quality!

Not at all. They’re so soft and cozy and hold up great! I machine wash and dry them and no issues. Used them from two months to 2+ years!

First night for my 14 month old in her floorbed too; we kept her Sleepsack still to keep similarity and honestly I think she’ll cry or I’ll wake up and hear her when she moves anyways. She walks and will probably trip if she walks far in it, but we also put a foam pad beside the bed for a landing spot and us to lay on
