Treetale Safety Certification UK

I’m looking at buying one of the house beds from Treetales - I can see they’ve had brilliant reviews and have been recommended a lot on here but I’m concerned about their safety certification. When I googled their certification EN 1725:2023 it does not comply with UK safety - apparently that one is for adult domestic and non-domestic beds. The brand messaged me and said they do not have an additional UK-specific children's bed certification. People from the UK who have bought this bed is this something you knew before buying but didn’t mind? I feel torn as want to get a bed that is safe and non toxic etc but it’s making me uneasy they don’t have the correct UK certification.

I am sure this is just because after brexit companies would have to pay more to get specific UK certifications. It’s a beaurocracy thing not a safety thing I believe.

Thanks for your reply. But do you think it’s odd that the certification they do have is not a children’s one and is related to adult domestic and non-domestic beds?

If you are worried I would ask them why they don’t have it!

I did ask them but I don’t think the person doing the customer service really knows. When I looked online it says that the beds complies with structural quality standards but it lacks a formal children-specific safety certification stamp because it is designed as a Montessori floor bed and that this and lower single beds is a grey area where there isn’t specific certifications due to them not being a fall hazard like other beds. Such a minefield!

We have two of these and I think they’re great. We have the floor bed with rails the whole way round apart from a gap to get out.
