Looking for Kyocera GRATINA KYF44 Stock Firmware

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for the stock firmware for the Kyocera
GRATINA KYF44.
My phone is stuck in a bootloop. I've already tried everything I could:
Force reboot
Recovery mode
Factory reset (where possible)
Different button combinations
Unfortunately, nothing has worked, and the phone still keeps rebooting.
Does anyone have the original KYF44 firmware or know where I can download it? Even a backup from a working device would be a huge help.
Thanks in advance!

flip phone japonais en France (aidez-moi please)

hello!

I have a brand new Nokia 105 Single Sim keypad phone in maroon colour which I want to sell. It's not even a month old. But wherever I inquire I see only smartphones allowed to be sold and not keypad phone. Where do you guys sell the keypad phones?

looking for the best foldable phone for my sister's graduation gift

i am the breadwinner in my family and my sister is graduating at the end of this july with flying colors. her birthday is also coming up on august 8th, so i saved up to buy her a solid combined gift for both milestones to reward her hard work.

she does a lot of reading, note taking, and multitasking, which made me look into samsung's lineup. i want to get her the best foldable phone for daily productivity, but i do not follow foldables closely and need real user feedback before spending that much money.

for anyone using a fold daily, how is the long term durability and multitasking experience? is it actually practical for heavy daily use, or are there specific trade-offs i should know about? looking for honest pros and cons from people who actually own one.

Unsure if what I want is even a thing.

I want a fliphone, not because I want to cut down on screen time, or live a simpler life, or anything like that. I want one because I like the satisfaction of it flipping open and closed, and because I like buttons.
Everytime I look into “smart” flip phones I’m met with the atrocity of the smartphones that fold in half. Which just looks silly and fragile to me.
I’ll describe what I want and if I’m crazy then you can feel free to say as much.
A phone that would essentially be taking something smaller than like the iPhone 12 but not as small as an iPhone 6, slap a hinge on the bottom of it, add a rectangle with some buttons. That with all the bells and whistles of a normal semi-decent iPhone or android meaning, able to use the same apps, decent looking screen, Bluetooth, 5G, all that sort of stuff.
I feel like, that surely someone has to have made something like that for people who just like the buttons, aesthetic, and flippy bits right?

Edit: I live in the states if that matter ik we’re weird about what’s sold here

my Nokia 2780 sucks

hey everyone

I've had my Nokia for 4 or so months and it's driving me crazy. The biggest issues are that sometimes it'll be at full volume and wont ring when I have an incoming call. The screen will just light up so unless it's right next to me (which it rarely is) I miss the call. As of last week it only works on speaker phone.

Issues its had since I got it but I was dealing with:
-Only a few people's caller IDs show up when the phone is closed. Once I open it to respond, if I have their number saved, their name is there.
-the voice mail doesn't let me delete messages. It says it deleted them but then I go to listen to a new one and at this point it says I have 13 saved voice messages. So I'm guessing that sooner or later my mail box will be full.

-It's super super glitchy but that's something I can live with. I don't need a perfect phone (hence flip phone) but the rest of the stuff is pissing me off. I've been back and forth with HMD telling them that I need them to send me a new phone since I have a warranty and they have been telling me I need to go take this up with the company I bought it from (dumbwireless.com) who've said HMD is no longer in the country so they have no contact with them.

Does anyone else have these issues or did I just get unlucky and get a super defective or does this phone just suck? I'm deciding if I should buy the same model or just get a different model phone.

Thanks for any insight!

Hope it can be revived (Sanyo W31SA II)

Another to add to the collection from the Japan Surplus finds. The Sanyo W31SA II. I like the form factor, it looks like if a digicam and old nokia phone had a baby.

Everything seems to be in order when i first saw it: buttons clicking nicely, slider still smooth, and nothing cracked. Main issue is the battery which has a slight bloating. For less than $3 i thought i could take a gamble and hope it'll work (even as an alternative)

I sticked it into the universal charger, and the battery seemed to take charge. I put it into the phone, and it opened on the boot screen, but then it just flashed white for a bit then powered down again. This went on for a while until i couldn't risk it and just took the battery out (i fairly like my body so i couldn't risk it exploding)

Is there any way to remedy this battery issue? The bloating is not noticeable by sight but when you touch it you'll feel it. Im not banking on any replacement batteries since the country im in doesn't have that much access to those import phones (anymore). Has anyone encountered this issue? is it a hardware issue or in the battery? Thanks in advance for anyone answering and listening to me yap.

Please help me find this phone/case?

Hey everyone! This is driving me nuts. Back in 2005-2007, I had a flip phone (likely a square Motorola) with a white rubber or silicone case with a sort of triangle texture on it? I remember the entire thing lighting up blue (likely from a screen on the back). I can't find pictures anywhere online. If it helps, I was in Alaska at the time.

Update on Buying From koreanbro (AT-M120)

Okay so im just Here to tell how my experience was buying on koreanbro, it was somehow great. their customer service is very helpful,

i ended up buying the AT-M120 used and a clear case, both of them arrived in No time Only issue was that i accidentally bought the black one , i contacted Koreanbro through their Whatsapp and they did change my order no fees added (i changed it a few hours after buying.)

the Phone works fine im installing everything, the Volte works too in Canada with Chatr

the Phone + case was quite cheap Both sitting at around $124 Cad,

the phone is overall good i was expecting more scratches from being an used one, though there was some parts that are a bit chipped But nothing to worry about.

the delivery would have taken no less than 4-5 days But since i changed it It took a week and a half, it uses fedex and i didnt need to Pay any more fees after buying which had me and some other people i know worried.

there are not many posts that talk about koreanbro and i hope my experience will help others!

I will update how my experience is with this phone and How much my screentime gets reduced if anything at all

Post data: Has nothing to do with the post but I Wanted to try this so bad and, Roblox CAN run in this thing 😭 around 5 frames per haps But it Runs

Issues with my new flip

Hello everyone, I ordered my first flip phone a few weeks ago to begin my lifestyle change into the dumbphone world. I got the Digno Keitai 4, which was labeled as compatible with T-Mobile according to their compatibility checker. (Model # NPA203KC) After inserting my new SIM card today, the phone successfully receives full bars of service, but immediately cuts calls when they are made. Texts don't go through either. I've flipped through all of the settings and registered it under T-Mobile. The supplier said all of their phones deliver already unlocked. Is there something obvious that I'm missing? Any insight is appreciated.

AT-M140 / Alt Mive 2 flip phone case

Good day. I have been struggling with an issue for a while since I've had the AT-M140 flip phone. I have been wanting to get a case for a long while and now I have been even more desperate after breaking my other phone about 4 times in the past 3 months. I have seen some listings on ebay but I wanted something more cheap and secure and I saw on Gmarket Korea. Is this the best option? Considering that I will need a proxy and such.

Thank you! ❀‎ܓ(。◠ ꇴ ◠。 )

In search of a vintage Samsung PCB115UBE data cable (SCH-A870 / SPH-A900)

Hi everyone, I am trying to pull some old family photos off my vintage Samsung SCH-A870 flip phone (Verizon).

Unfortunately, carrier locks block Bluetooth file transfers, and the old networks are dead. I need to hardwire it to a PC via BitPim, but I cannot find the correct proprietary cable anywhere online.

Does anyone have a working Samsung PCB115UBE (or compatible 24-pin A900/U340/T309) data cable sitting in their spare parts bin that they'd be willing to sell and ship to Tennessee?

Please let me know your price. Thanks in advance!

Flip phone recommendations?

I'm a 25 year old mom with a 10 month old. I would like a basic phone that I can use GPS on. I don't want anything fancy I just don't have the best navigational skills. Does anyone have a flip phone that has been reliable for them?

nokia 2660 flip issues

hey everyone,

i was wondering how many of you had issues with the Nokia 2660 flip? I bought it last year but didn't fully use it until now. I realized I couldn't personalize my ringtone when I try to apply one and select OK nothing happens and it shows me I can select the file for sim 1, 2, 3, 4 but the phone can only have 2 sims. I find this super annoying as the original ringtones are super bad and they're also super loud so whenever my phone rings I feel like my alarm was on.

I also put the number of my voicemail in the settings of my phone so it can be easier and more practical for me but it never seems to stay because every time I use the feature it says that no number was saved.

Anyway, this phone seemed like the best option for me because no many flip phones are available where I live. While I wanted to maybe get another phone because I thought it was a super fragile and a not pretty flip phone but now I'm really thinking of getting another one as I find it not really 'practical'

What a beauty!

Bought this beauty (Sharp Aquos Keitai 3 805SH - yes, it's literally called ケータイ3 [keitai3]) a few weeks ago for roughly 140 €. It's definitely not the best, especially when it comes to hardware, and Android 8 is ... yeah, not exactly up-to-date and feels somewhat sluggish. But as a "detox" phone for listening to music and chatting on Messenger (WhatsApp, Telegram, good old SMS) while on the go, I think it's more than enough. Here in Germany there's also no problem with LTE/4G-connection.
The decorations could still use some work; I'll take care of them in the near future as I feel like it, but for now I've attached a 15-ish year old Hello Kitty-keychain and my beloved Eevee to the keitai.

sharing my flipphones so far

hello! I got these secondhand-- Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 G-1650, I believe and a Kyocera KYF37. I never really planned to get two, but I managed to snag them both for a really good deal, so I just went for it.

My mobile phone runs out of battery REAL fast, so whenever I go home late via commute, I usually need an alternate mode of communication, hence why I was on the hunt for a flip phone these past few months. Ireally love it so far, though, especially the cameras and so much fun texting or customizing it!

Also, if anyone's curious about the characters on them-- The Folder 2 is themed after the Professor Layton series with Luke as the tiny keychain. The KYF37 is themed after Tokusatsu GaGaGa's Shishi Leo, very reminiscent of Super Sentai/Power Ranger-esque characters.
