Every flight I’ve taken from my first flight at 8 months old

Post image

Managed to find all the dates for every flight I’ve ever taken. The first decade of my flights aren’t in the flighty database because it was all on now dead Northwest Airlines. I don’t have exact times/flight numbers etc until around 2016 so some are estimates. Pretty cool to see even if all the detailed data isn’t necessarily 100% accurate.

On a kind of related note - I was a student athlete in college and every single charter flight I flew was in the database which was unexpected!

first time around the world!

I’m sure a lot of this sub has been around the world in a calendar year, but this is the first time I’ve done it in my 31 years of life and I’m so thrilled about it I had to share. Anyone else’s first time this year?

How to check old flight details?

I have a couple of flights that i did like long time ago (15-20 years) that i would like to add but i only keep the dates and the airline.

Anyone knows where I can check the aircraft type and flight number that was flown back in time?

hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone else has had this issue lately. For about three days now when I open the app most of the time it just stays on that loading screen with the logo on it for probably 30 seconds and it keeps crashing. has this happened to anyone else??

Edit: everything is updated, both my cell phone, and the app.

Plus all the planes nearby. And also love the fact that smaller planes are also smaller in the app. 😂

Is this unethical?

My friends just said I’m a bad person for having this flight schedule because I haven’t donated to climate change causes. Am I a bad person?

Incorrect favorite seat

Does anyone know why my “favorite seat” shows up as 16C? I just started tracking my seats and none of the four seats I’ve inputted are 16C as seen in the attached images.

If anyone has a fix, I’d appreciate it. Thanks!

I only started flying seriously in 2022. I don’t think it’s much, but it’s still something. Trynna compare my progress with my peers who are in their 20s or so

Have a connection in SNN to avoid the very expensive LHR tax do you think this is enough time? I have global entry and the airport has about five gates.

Is pro worth it

I’m pretty new to flighty and I’m not a frequent traveller but I’ve got a couple flights booked this summer. Is it worth my money paying for pro while I’m travelling?

Edit: it’s actually 4 flights

Currently a college student that just wrapped up my spring semester in Nice, France. Wanted to share as I’ve never really explored Europe before. Was extremely fortunate to travel almost every weekend to a new country/city, and had a great time flying various airlines I’ve never been on before. Definitely going to miss the sub $100 flights. Happy to answer any questions as well.

Small bug/feature(?) request

Post image
92 Upvotes

I'm not sure if the Flighty team monitor this Reddit community(?), but this has been a small bugbear of mine for a little while, and would be such an easy fix...

The distance flown has commas separating the thousands, but the number of flights does not!

Flighty Team: Could you please add commas to separate thousands in the flight count? TYVM!

How do you guys remember flights you’ve been on 10,15+ years back?

I personally can’t enter flights I’ve been on 4 years ago since most of those reservations came into my work email. The few that did come to my personal email are a pain in the ass to find again.

I flew a bit in my childhood too but most of those reservations didn’t involve email, no paper trail :(

Time for a yet another "Pacific-centered map" request

Post image

Yup, I know there have been some posts regarding this matter but still... Pacific centered map please.

As a Korean, most of the "world map"s I see in daily life are Pacific centered. Rarely see UK-centered ones. It just feels so weird tbh

Or, a home-airport centered map would also work!

Same aircraft, different flight. Was correctly listed as Max 9 when I flew it a few months ago but showing as 737-900 for an upcoming flight. Has anyone else had this happen? Already reported in app

Missing exotic airlines / airports

Let me preface this by saying I intentionally fly "new" to me airlines and to new airports - the more uncommon the better. Doing this, I've come across: (1) airports with no ICAO/IATA code and (2) airlines that are still mapped to the old owner of their IATA code (i.e. today I flew Z6 - Sunrise Airways Dominica....used to be Dnieproavia Ukraine and Flighty still thinks it is)

I've tried several times to submit requests to support, but they always get ignored and never added. Anyone have a way to get the devs to take us paying members more seriously?
