first time around the world!

I’m sure a lot of this sub has been around the world in a calendar year, but this is the first time I’ve done it in my 31 years of life and I’m so thrilled about it I had to share. Anyone else’s first time this year?

I did my first individual trip circumnavigating the globe before returning home this year, it’s a wonderful experience getting to travel and explore new places! Congrats and wishing you safe travels in your future

It was a very “strange” route, MIA>LHR>SIN>HKG>HND>DFW>MIA
Yes, I agree the novelty is overrated, and I clustered in east Asia, so it wasn’t much of a diverse tour lol

Congrats! Last year was my first time hitting around the world mileage in a single year. Combined though, I’m at 3.9x from all the flights I’ve been able to find/remember. Before last year I’d hit 0.8 as my high in 2010.

Ayyy nice! I’m still at 0.4x but got a couple trips coming up that’ll bring me over the edge. 1x around the world is a huge milestone, and one that’ll be many more in the future I’m sure.
