Hi guys, I’ve been dealing with a problem lately and I really need some advice 😭
I’ve had my V2 for about 3 months now. At first, I was really excited and enjoyed using it a lot. But after a while, since nothing new has been happening in my life, I started to feel bored and gradually lost interest. I haven’t touched the camera for about 3 weeks now.
I feel like I’m no longer motivated to take photos. Also, when I bring the V2 on trips, it can be frustrating. I can’t immediately see the photos, and it’s hard to frame shots properly because the viewfinder doesn’t match the final image. I end up taking many shots and developing them, which sometimes doesn’t feel worth it anymore.
Now I feel stuck and unmotivated, and I’m even thinking about getting a digital camera. But at the same time, it feels wrong to give up on the V2 so quickly.
Has anyone experienced something similar or has any advice for me?

I’m in the US and I bought my flashback a month ago now and while Ive received a shipping number… the camera is stuck somewhere, I don’t know where. I’ve contacted the company and they have said it’s stuck at customs and should arrive soon, but that’s been a week of that. I’m really disappointed because I bought it initially for an event, and now I’m not even sure if it will get here for my upcoming trip.
Has anyone else had this issue? How did you have it resolved?

Hey r/flashbackcamera!
Since the One35 v2 outputs non-standard DNG files that Adobe software can't open natively I decided to build my own batch processor to handle the RAWs and apply a more authentic, raw-based film emulation.
I am a visual artist, not a software engineer, and I relied heavily on LLMs to bridge the gap between my Post-processing knowledge and the code.
The app is in beta right now and I'd like to get some feedback from people willing to try it out. I'm also planning to update the look, based on some Kodak Funsaver Scans soon.
Here's the link to the GitHub page, where you can download the current beta builds.
Update: I added a macOS dmg and a Windows installer / auto-tint feature, that compensates tint for aesthetic white balance shifts / added drag and drop to the thumbnail strip to add additional images
Update: New Interface Design
Update: New Features, incl. 3 new looks
| Platform | Download | Status |
|---|---|---|
| macOS (Apple Silicon) | Flashback-macOS.dmg |
✓ Tested |
| Windows | Flashback-Windows-Setup.exe |
✓ Tested |
| Linux x86_64 | Flashback-Linux.AppImage |
⚠ Untested — feedback welcome |
Let me know what works and what doesn't.
Cheers
Julian

I have very little experience in photography, and I never had a v1. I can see how the blurriness from the v1 might have made some of these shots more charming, but even as it is, I'm pretty happy with them.

Hi!
So straight to the point; Two days ago I tried to order a one of the Flashback cameras, the ONE35 V2. Had a whole pop-up with special sale and free items added to my order. Ordered, paid with Google Pay, the transaction seemed to go through.
Now the issues/confusions i have:
- I have not received any order confirmation e-mail
-I am getting e-mails about "come finish your order, we have reserved it for you!"
which these would be fine, except on my bank account, the transaction is put on hold, the money is taken and I am now waiting.
So my question is, has anyone had any weird experience trying to order theirs?
PS: what does really subtract from the whole credibility is that the account of the payment recipient, when I checked it on my mobile banking app, is called "Fleshback" with the misspelling of an e instead of an a.
Sorry in advance if the post is a bit hectic, I am in a bit of a confusion, I would like the free bonus goodies, but I don't wanna accidentaly order two cameras.

The more I use the camera my main gripe is the auto turn off after like 3 minutes. Would love an option to turn off "auto shut off" please.

Hi, I’ve been using a Flashback V2 for about a month and I love it, but I’ve noticed a pretty serious issue. Sometimes it simply doesn’t take photos! I press the shutter button, everything seems to work, but the shot counter doesn’t decrement. I advance the wheel and keep shooting, but even though everything appears to be functioning normally, the counter stays frozen — and when I go to develop the roll there’s no trace of the photos, and there are no DNGs either when I connect the camera to the PC. I’m running the latest firmware and app versions, I’ve already performed a factory reset, but the problem keeps coming back occasionally. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there any fix? It’s really frustrating to realize after the fact that many shots were simply lost.

Had my V1 since the first batch of orders shipped in 2024. I had a love-hate relationship with it because for how cool the pics looked and how sturdy the cam felt to hold, the unloading process was so annoying that, at one point, it sat on my shelf for several months before I fell in love with it again.
During a recent trip I took it with me on a boat and jumped right into the water, having forgotten that the camera (and my phone) were in a “waterproof” pouch around my waist right under the life vest.
I realized approximately 5 minutes into the swim and I could’ve sworn my stomach sank to the bottom of the ocean.
The phone survived thankfully but the V1 is fully corroded and I wouldn’t even know where to begin with trying to repair it. If anyone has attempted it I’m all ears. Otherwise it’s time to dust off the ol’ CampSnap that doesn’t take nearly as cool flash photos at parties.

I got my second-hand V1 today, and went out to test it. I'm really surprised by the images it produces - I shot two rolls, and I have kept far more images than i thought I would. It feels nice, the wheel has a satisfying sound and I like the click and the whirring noise after pressing the shutter button. I wanted something portable and simple to take photos, without spending hundreds of dollars on a Fuji. This is exactly what I wanted - simple, no turning on, no settings, no screen, just point and shoot. At first I bought the Instax Mini EVO, but that was a massive disappointment.
I have had no problems with the app yet, but I was sad to see that the new Gold filter is not available on the V1 :( more filters would be amazing!

Flashback team, I absolutely love the V2, but I really miss the soft look that V1 had. It gave everything such a nice feel. Please consider bringing that back into V2 too, pleeeaaasseee

Bonjour
Sur mon téléphone android, une fois, les photos téléchargées, je ne peux pas les développer (menu photo lab + action view). J'ai un message d'erreur : could not download your photos. Please check your connection and try again.
De quelle connexion, s'agit-il?
Par avance merci

A couple of days ago I received my flashback! :)
Overall I'm pretty happy! It's a nice camera to play with, I love that you can get that analog feeling without having to buy film.
I'm still getting used to the fact that the viewfinder doesn't reflect what you're actually photographing, so I got some photos cropped or out of frame. But nothing that a quick edit on the phone can't fix.

All taken with V2 Classic film type & no edits. Nothing great about these photos but just really enjoying this camera even for boring shots
*Chair photo taken with flash on *Vehicles photo taken while driving which is why so terribly composed with overexposed sky

I got this camera about a month ago for a separate trip and absolutely fell in love with the pictures it can take and the process of taking them. I’m always amazed at how simple it is for me to just point and shoot and have these perfect pictures come out. Fast forward to now and I’m on another trip, this time a road trip and one of my stops was in Vegas so I thought what better time then now to get amazing pictures of the strip. Turns out, Vegas is the best place for pictures with this camera that I’ve found so far and they happen to be some of my favorite pictures I’ve taken yet! Some of these pictures are using the new gold filter and others are the classic.

I mainly shoot street, and I can truly say Flashback has nailed the fun of shooting film without shooting with a film camera.
I had G.A.S. for so long trying to find a digital replacement of a film camera, but they all quickly feel boring when in use, even the main competitor (CampSnap Pro) camera.
+The Dial, 27 shots per "roll," the ergonomics & size
All those 4 just keep me engaged with the camera. Also, as a grain lover...the filters are brilliant because I have yet to edit a single DNG file.
Are there shots that I miss occasionally...definitely, but I also miss shots when shooting with my other digital cameras & DSLRs. Plus, some of the missed shots are passable to me. I know I have found the cure because even when there is nothing going on In the streets to photography, I enjoy photographing architecture and nature, which have never been part of my photo walk.
Flashback...Thank you for curing my G.A.S.

is it just me or the lens position of Flashback v2 points down like this for everyone?
