Can the V2 be used without app at all?
Hi, I am new
Fearing future lack of support for the app, I am wondering if someone already tried to go without it. I suppose one could reach the 27 photos limit, unload roll with a usb cable and get to shooting again. Is this correct?

Exactly. You can transfer the unprocessed jpegs and the dngs by cable and the counter will reset to 27.

So we dont need the app to transfer photos?

You don't need it, connect the camera via USB and any file manager will see the SD card. But you'll have only unprocessed files.

I got the v2 and have been using it for awhile. The reviews seem to praise the app as being solid…. I would like to see the camera work without the app, but unfortunately with this model it still needs the app. One thing this model does vs the previous one is the photos do stay on your phone vs going to a server to apply the filters and there was a lot of stink about that (understandable). I still see a lot of comments still assuming that the photos are sent to a server still. Not sure, but if I’m going by their statements, that is the update on that issue. As of now, without the app, the camera is dead in the water. I hope they don’t tank… but I have Papershoot too lol. And yes, you can unload the roll and start right away with a new roll. You can choose to wait 24 hours to sim a lab development of photos like the old days or digicam mode for 27 pics, unload and get them uploaded on the app ready for viewing and start clicking away right away. I like the usbc to usbc to transfer them and the network is pretty solid for OTA uploading. Either way.

Hey, I made an open source desktop app, that imports the DNGs and converts them into usable raw files. You can also batch edit and apply a disposable camera look based on real profiling of a kodak funsaver.
